So by your definition of who makes the HAMB "successful" (tech posters/answerers....how to posters...) would that include you?

Look, I totally dig reading your show coverage and give you credit for driving that Olds cross country, but in all your over 10k posts I dont remember seeing many, if any, how to or tech posts.

My point is this judgemental bullshit is what probably KEEPS people from posting more Tech stuff on this site. Im sure there are at least a handful of dudes are reading this, seeing this shop that has proven to take rusty crap and turn it into show saying "Man if THIS guy is getting slammed..."

    Just my 2 cents...

    i dont read street rodder,

,,guess i would have probably heard of you if maybe you posted some of the things or some TECH for us here on the hamb instead of just posting to cut another shop down...

  4. and both sides feel the need to defend their position and push the quality stuff to the bottom.

I personally like to see the cars being built.. i don't care who is doing it.

I cleaned this thread up as best I could... opinions are fine. Assholes are well... assholes...

Frankly, I LOVE Lordz' annual threads...

    2 points:

    1. I'd rather be a hack than an asshole.
    2. Look at your own thread history and then look at Lordz'. I'd much rather see a bunch of pics of work in a "crazy" shop than a bunch of off-topic posts.

I don't know if I want to get into the middle of this pissing contest but what the heck.

Just an observation. Everyone has their own way of getting things done. In the perfect world, all shops are neat, all sheet metal is free of rust, etc. If we are going to piss and moan about how we could have done it better, alot less will be willing to post pictures of what they are working on. Maybe you don't like how he is doing the work but to each their own. The finished product looks good and if the customer is happy, great.

There is a shop in my area that has a good reputation; puts out some geat looking cars. On shop tours, I have seen their work and what comes to mind is that I can do better metal work than that. I don't tell them that their work looks like crap. Again, to each their own. Instead, it gives me motivation to do my own work.

If you don't like Lordz work, pass the thread. I find them interesting.

I look forward to the LORDZ posts because he is always posting SOMETHING cool to look at and not talking about what he is going to do SOMEDAY.

Hudsons are cool. I too like them more than Mercs. Great Lines on them.

Lordz and I apparently have the same camera. Ha Ha Ha

i am most likely defending jesse's position, although he sure doesn't need me to do that, he can do that for himself. my real goal is to hopefully get more people to be open minded on here.

if you think a thread that has the word "spam" in the title is spam, well damnit, don't open it, move on to another thread.

    seriously, it's that simple.

and if you think jesse's work is amatuer, that's cool too. say that much and move on. you're allowed to think that. that in and of itself doesn't make this thread "spam".

and it is the hating that keeps cool people from posting more of their own shit, myself included. look at my post history, lots of bullshit.
you can ask scores of hambers what kind of person i am, i help everyone out, always have. i'll buy your hatin' ass a beer at a show and then help you work on your car afterwards. i won't judge you.
am i socially acceptable now on the hamb?...

ask me if i fucking care.

and somebody else hit the nail square on the head, there is no participation clause on here. so what if someone posts pictures of tons of cool cars!
is it because his shop is "crazy"?
i seem to remember a thread about garages where one dude didn't even have one, he worked in his dirt driveway, and everybody on that thread was swingin' from his jock.
    what's the difference???

there's at least three people on this thread that have said the original poster has helped them personally, but there will still be a dozen more who have never met him that say he's an idiot.

don't judge so much, be more open minded.
if all you can do on this one is enjoy the pictures, well then do that and move on.

    hey sam f.
thanks again for the toolbox key bud!

    i owe you one.

Ive been to Jesse's shop and he did some work for me. He was a cool head, showed me anything I wanted to see, talked to me about everything he was doing and everything he said he'd do on my car, he did. No B.S. He did it in a timely manner and he charged me a fair price.
You dont like his work?? Dont use him.
You dont like his posts?? Dont post on them.
I dont know everything about all of his work, but he does alot of work and his shop seemed to be busy as hell. He had cars all over the place. Not all 10 year projects either. I dropped my car off and when I picked it up there was progress made on some of the cars that I saw when I was first there.

    Keep it up Jesse.

  22. i was driving to the shop one day and spotted a few kids tagging up walls,,,i stopped and they started to run...i caught one of them and asked if they wanted a job..and the rest is history..
