Damn Groucho,be thankful you don't have that white **** falling from the sky. Be thankful, you can have an outdoor event,at this time of year.Positive hot rodders, plan on going, then re-evalulate at the last minute. Perseverance is a hot rodders best trait,be positive. Make the best of whatever mother nature dishes out, have a ****tail or something.
I just find it odd that we are having a major drought the past couple of years, with no significant rainfall and all of the sudden last Friday it pours and we have showers in the forecast the weekend for the one show I look forward to more than any other all year... When you look at it that way its gotta piss you off, especially if your going to run car your car down the strip, wich is what ive been getting ready for a while now. Ive heard of people praying for rain lately on the news, you could be dam shure ill be praying for the opposite!
they are gaving a burn out contest..... last fridays rain was mighty fun, i headed out to the warehouses late night and patched out for what seemed like miles..... slick roads are fun!!! if you've got lemons, make lemonade!!!!
Its really fun drivin a fenderless car in the rain at 80 mph........pisses people off so bad, its rad!!!! i am lookin forward to drivin out!!!!! if you see me(cameras following me)give me a holler!!!! burnout will turn into donuts!!!!
"out in the field " again huh? I'll be there vending, but if it rains, I don't see the missus out there getting soaked .
Too bad they can't slip the show to Sunday (no rain). If it rains, I'll bring the old Grand Prix. It'll be interesting to see how many SUV's show up. Hell, they showed in record numbers last year, and the weather was beautiful
We're planning on going....the only thing that worries me is getting there in the rain since drivers in L.A. are ****ty to begin with and have NO IDEA how to drive in the rain...
I'll be there. Still planning on taking the race car but might take the double nickel if its really pouring. Oh hell we might just take both!
