I had hear Force was doing a lot better ... and recovering from his crash. I had also hear he had lost a lot of weight because he could not drink BEER ... I found this on the net ... it was taken this past weekend ... almost did not recognize him ... Glad he is OK ... He will return ... .
Wow, he looks great! His girls were always trying to get him in shape, guess they got their wish. I'm glad he is healthier as well. I want to see him racing (and more importantly commentating on his racing) for a good long time! Good for you John! Continue on that speedy recovery!
yeah that was a bad one..hes one lucky guy to servive that. wonder if he will give it up or not? he looks good in that picture
Damm, Force looks great! And skinny...And NEVER O/T!! Come back soon Champ This was July at Sears Point..
No Kidding...Cause John Promised me I could marry Ashley.... I was just waiting for pigs to fly out of his *** like he said. hehehhe
Glad to see him doing so well. There isn't a better amb***ador for drag racing or the NHRA ,imho. Force rules!
I read a story on NHRA dot com where he got bored and tired of being cooped up so he hobbled out to his truck and went for a drive, first time since his crash. He ended up at the National dragster staff drags and made a p*** in his pickup. It was a great story with pics, it is a great read if you can find it. It was written by Phil Burgess. One of the funniest parts was how JF's pr man told him he could not drive himself, and Force's reply was "as far as I know there is no law that says I cant drive with a broken leg".
Here's a shot I took of him Sunday at his Holiday Car Show... ...he has lost quite a bit of weight and is slowly getting his mobility back but it looks like it will take a while! His great spirit is as strong as ever though!
You would not believe the line of people wanting to get his autograph and wish him well. A true racer and showman to boot...
Whats not to like about ole John... Glad he is making some rounds. Ashley is engaged ??? Man, oh well
Doesn't the old saying go something like this: "You can't keep a good man down". Way to go John. I'm predicting you'll see him behind the wheel of that Funny car as soon as he is able. It would be nice though if he took it slow and let the recovery be full before he suited up. Frank
Who said things aren't getting better In the old days a 100# was a 1/10 of a second. We proved it a couple of times by going to the track with removable weight when testing a new ch***is. This NEW data also flies in the face of the old saying: "The older we get the faster we were" Frank
Love him and his team, almost wish he'd retire from the seat tho,I'd hate to see him hurt again! His crash may be as big as Garlit's tho,in terms of rethinking funny car design.(Like Garlits sorting out the rear engine thing)
I saw today where Bernstein is putting Tommy Johnson Jr. in his Monster car, might be a good idea for Force to find someone younger to drive his car.
