Yeah, I know, but collecting old speed equipment can develop into such an addiction that you may have paid some ex-CIA operative to breach my security system and fly it out to you on Air Force One! It's funny that I happen to have each valve cover you named. I also have one with SPECIAL cast in the center, and it's got threads for a threaded oil cap. I've also got a GMC McGurk that I traded an Offenhauser dual intake for when the previous owner found out it was two inches too long for his 235.
awesome, you got pics of the "Special"? Im going to try and get pics in the morning of the ones I have.
here is some junk I found on the last day of 2007.Sorry about the bad pic's. used McGurk GMC 5x1 intake used McGurk Chev 2x1 intake used Fenton Chev 2x1 intake Nos Fenton Chev 216 Valve cover Nos Fenton Chev early design headers
Well, since I just picked up an inline, whats the first thing I do, start looking for speed parts, here's the Edmunds I picked up at Pomona Last weekend. Can't wait to get it on my 52 Drew
Does anyone know if Edmunds Made Valve covers and Side Covers for these engines? If so I sure would like to find some to match my intake. Drew
Edmunds made valve covers, but I've never seen (or even heard mention of) a side cover for 216 or 235-261. Good luck finding an Edmunds valve cover; I've got one that I bought twenty years ago, and I've seen a grand total of two others since.
I think I sold one of the valve to the mistgreen guy a couple years ago. Boy, if I had known then what I know now, he would have paid for it.
Does anyone make a Noname cast aluminum valve cover and side plate. I check moon, and no dice on them. Thanks Drew
corvette intake and carbs the exhaust manifold that goes with corvette intake an ellis check link to stovebolt exhaust
I can't believe that I'm posting the first pics of the 3 carb McGurk intake. Bought it off egay a few months back for my '47 truck. I think it was probably for a GMC originally but it's going on a 235 with custom made 90* elbows. Patrick's is re-making the Howard GMC 5-carb intake and they are alot better quality. Other than having Patrick's cast into the bottom of the plenum they look the same, and cost half of the ones I've seen for sale. Later, Kevin Ooltewah Speed Shop www.kevkographics.com
the mcgurk 5 carb if one of the treads on the end on the right side is about half broken of than thats the one my son just bought of of ebay for about 235 dollars.
