Well, this might not be much help, but my glass body has an real steel firewall, ofcorse the body was made in the mid 70's and had no floor or firewall,so I had to use a real one,but yes I think you could use one in most any glass bodies.
Sure, take a sawzall and cut the glass firewall out of your body to the same dimensions as a steel firewall (use a template). Bolt the steel firewall to your frame, then mount your body over the top of it just like a steel body, shim for door fit and it should work. Make sure to put a seal (rubber or closed cell foam) between the firewall and the inside of your body.
I'm sure glad i don't have to inform Denise, that there will be no more banners,or meet and greet stickers. Thank You, for all you've done in the past for the HAMB members.I'd looked forward to,eventually asking for a banner for the ever growing list of HAMBers in my area, since the number has increased an incredible amount lately.Guess we'll have to call it a "Canadian Bacon,Meet and Greet" not a"Hamb Meet and Greet".
Sorry to hear this. I always liked the meet and great stickers . May be a oldbobsign, hotrodladycruser meet and greet ,OBS,HRLC sticker !!!
I'd better clear this up before it gets outta hand. I don't want to put words in Ryan's mouth but I understand he's cool with the stickers and banners - in fact anything to "spread the gospel", "gather the flock", charitable or non-profit use is alright. But DO NOT SELL the logo or use it in any manner to create an "elitist" subgroup within the HAMB. End of issue.
Boy im glad you did Larry.. this was going down hill in a hurry.. This is one my favorite threads so back on topic.. Fuck the stickers and banners this is a deuce thread.. I just came in from the garage .. Been wiring all day and if it wasnt for this damn head cold or flu that ive got id be done but ya know what ??? There is always tomorrow and where the hell am i going anyway there is snow on the ground.. Dave
Willysguy,I have the chassis eng. x-member. rollingbones use one from Brookville along with brake&clutch pedals. Ionia looks pricey, but If you can afford it go for it!
Hello fellow HAMB Deucers. I just joined the club and have conversed with Casey. He was very helpful showing me how to get a picture of my deuce loaded as an avatar. (thanks Casey). I will actually try to attach a picture to this note and we'll see what happens. My car is a steel body convertible. It is homebilt as all of my previous hot rods have been. I just got 235 miles on it before I put it away for the winter. Still needs some finishing touches, like my hood. This is my first Deuce and already I'm wondering why the hell I waited so long..it is just the coolest hot rod . My two year old grandson looks at it and points and says.."Ah Duuuce"...so that's going to be my license plate!... I look forward to this HAMB experience...Jim
Thanks racemad55, I'll look into the Brookville piece as well. I do plan on running 3 pedals so that might work out the best.
Larry, Just wondering if I have enough of a Duece to join the ranks ? Currently a rolling chassis, Nailhead 401 & Tremec TKO 600 5spd with a Winters QC rear. Hope to have body home soon. Tire/wheels....just shop rollers!

Hey Dave, I recognized the Tudor and that spotless shop of yours! Did Jack score the 3W yet? I haven't heard from him yet. Your weather is looking pretty nice down there!! Jerry
Deuce's that were sold at Barrett-Jackson last week. The historic "Rollin Stone" street roadster brought the top dollar at $320,000. The factory "display chassis" that was on display at the Peterson Museum last year during Deuce Week went for $120,000. Most everything else sold for what you would expect.
