Sam, that pic of your ride on wires is one of the best.. you really need to roll that way. but I understand the hubcap look also.. its amazing how the era/ look changes so much from such a basic swap

Happy, thanks for posting those pic. really enjoyed seeing the 57 done in that fashion

These are old Cal Custom's.. They were actually on the car when i bought it 20 year's ago, so i thought it fitting that this time around i'd 'restore' em and put them back on..
I like these because they are a little different, plus they clear the roller rockers and lock with no problem's.. I'm not sure the Vette one's will but i've never tried a set.

Here is my contribution....a very cool '57 owned by Dave Jenkins here in Michigan. I met him at the Ididit car show in October. This car flat knocked my socks off...it is absolutely a perfect representation of a 60's custom...with good reason.

Dave bought this car brand new in 1956, and it was a dual quad 4-speed factory piece in black. In 1961 he took it to the Alexander Brothers in Detroit for a makeover. The car left the shop as it appears today. The car was restored a couple of years ago, but everything appears as it did in 1961.

Not many guys can say they have owned the same car for 50 years, and Dave is a great guy. I borrowed the pics from Hotrodhotline, thanks Fuzzy.

That is sweet and very convincing. There are some nice 4 door sedans showing up on this thread too. The most solid Tri-five I ever had was a '55 4 door from Colorado. It was a blue and white Bel Air with a 265/4bbl and a stick overdrive. Paid $175 for it in 1968. I have to start digging for some old pictures of my '56 Bel Air 2 door hardtop custom I sold to buy a new 1967 442.

  25. I guess I'll throw a pic in too. I've only had it a few months.

Here's ours. Pretty rusty, but it's fun to drive :) 350 and a muncie 4-speed. We had it sitting out behind the shop for 17 years. Built it for less than $2000.
