all the talk about dragsters in motion, ive seen some really awesome picture of early jalopies racing, rolling, 2 wheels on the ground, dudes falling out...........here post more

Dayum, the bottom bunk of the double-stacked roadsters guy was lucky, and I guess the Hell Drivers is a stunt team.

I've got the photo from post #19 printed and hanging in the garage.
Ahhh, those were the days! My Dad and I used to sit in the grandstands in the background of that photo almost every Sunday...listening to **** Lane, the announcer, yelling "WHOA NELLIE!"...
I get a kick out of the billboards in the background...Bacon Ford, geez, Roger Bacon was a typical SoCal car salesman type, advertised on TV along with some new guy named Cal Worthington (and his dog Spot).
Yup, I look at that photo all the time while I'm in the garage.
Me, my Dad, an ice cream sandwich, the smell of Benzine and those old coupes and sedans crashing their way closer and closer to the junkyard...
Paradise for a 10 year old.
