I don't really care, but i think 2-door are more good looking and 4-door are more practical and don't need
to look like a peace of shit, i mean it's still a betiful car and almost the same car as a 2-door...

Im 17 years old and have just getting in to "this" and i can't afford a 12000$ 2d Tudor...
So instead i bought a rustfree 1951 Chevy 4d for 25000 crowns (thats about 3000$)
with rebuilt engine and new brakes. I was also interrested in a 1950 Pontiac 2d but it
costed twice as much and it was rutten and the engine didn't even turn over
So much cooler isn't a 2-door, especially at cruising and you got to get in and out
everytime somebody wants to go out and do something...
Im gonna chop my chev, get it bagged, french the headlights, have suicide
doors in the back... i think it can be a cool car.

the next 'craze'? I hope not but I think they already are. it seems to me like there's been a pretty big swell in people driving classics for dailys and that's brought a lot more of the 4 doors to attention.
for most of the bigger cars, I prefer 4 doors; smaller cars, I think 2 looks a lot cleaner.
My '56 is a daily driver, the 4 doors are wonderful and amazing; I do wish it was a hardtop but that's it. My '64 wildcat is a 4 door post...I think that size car looks dumb with 2 doors. my '62 chevyII is a 2 dr, those things look asstacular with 4 doors.
I have nothing against 2 doors and I think they look bitchin...but I have a soft spot for 4 doors, I think it's my mechanically minded function-over-form inclination.

I love when someone gives me shit 'cause 'oh man, you shoulda got the BelAir instead of the 210' or 'too bad it's not a 2 door'....
"yeah, good input, how's that minivan workin out for ya?"

2-Door, 4-Door, Wagon, Hardtop, Sedan, Coupe, None of this stuff really matters. There are trends in everything automotive. A 2-Door can look just as cool as a 4-Door or Wagon or Truck, its all about how its done. I have a 53 chev 2-door now and would trade it in a second to get my old 4-door back.

In case anyone hasn't seen it yet, there is a cool '60 Bel-Air 4-door post featured in the latest issue of Street Rodder.

To quote - "As supply of original iron continues to dwindle, more cars that were once considered beneath the dignity of hot rodders are now included in the lexicon of the acceptable. Four-door sedans, shunned for decades, are now being eagerly sought as street rod build material...."

Every time i see a mordoor hotroded ,the first thing that comes to mind is that they either settled for cuz they couldnt find a tudoor or that their Grandpa left it to them and it holds some sentimental value.Me personally i would never drive one ,but thats just me unless it was a wagon.I have owned a 54 and a 60 Chevy mordoor ,but they were both my parts cars. They can make dependable beaters yes ,but the cool factor is just not the same as a tudoor .I personally prefer tudoor sedans over hardtops on any model car ,but i am weird.I dont think family cars will ever be the craze...
