Well, not good news,...they had put Myron on life support in an attempt to regulate his breathing, and try and control his heart rate, to help with the coma to reduce the brain swelling,...after a CAT scan this morning, the doctor reported no brain activity, and the start of kidney failure, so the family has made a decision to unhook him from life support...

Sorry to hear the bad news. The general public is more of a threat than any hot rodder. A girl speeding in a SUV talking on her cell phone ran a red light and took out a mother and her two little girls at the end of my road a year or two ago. The light was red and they were walking across the street. I drive past the little roadside shrine almost everyday. On the way back from TRR, the safest drivers I saw on the road were all in hot rods and classic cars.

So sad. I've been almost sick since I started reading the thread.
Thoughts and prayers go out to the families.

Cell phones and driving do not mix.

Terrible news anytime...but magnified at this time of the year. Thoughts and prayers to the family, and Poor Boys.

That's every hot rodder's fear. I feel exceptionally vulnerable when I'm driving one of my hot rods. It's always the OTHER drivers that scare me, and I know that I'm at risk in those cars.

    Best wishes to all involved.

I was in disbelief and got that sick feeling when I first heard about Myron Jrs. accident.
I have been concerned and thinking about him and his family ever since.
I have been really hoping for the best and will continue to do so.
It really pisses me off to no end the way it happened. I know I should probably feel for the woman who hit him, but I am not that forgiving to blatant dumb asses.
A motor vehicle is as dangerous as a loaded firearm. They require your undivided attention when operating one. Doing almost twice the speed limit and jabbering on a cell phone classifies that person as a mouth breathing, knuckle dragging moron in my book.
Nuff said, I will restrain from getting too agitated about it.

Debi and I are both pulling for him.
I really, really want to see Myron Jr. out and about again.
Best wishes for him and his family.

Very, very sad day indeed. My heart goes out to his family and friends, and club brothers The PoorBoys.

Perhaps we should ALL vow to think twice about picking up that cell phone while driving.

No penalty in law there for using a phone while driving?
No isn't the time, but perhaps a lobbyist should be approached with the view to instigating a law banning the practice as a memorial to this young man tragically taken so young.
Or perhaps a public appeal to the local government to increase substantially the penalties that may be in place already.
Myron's memory deserves that sort of effort.
