  1. This thread just turned into sport truck, what happened to traditional!

There were 248 replies/posts to this before my reply here...this is one of the longest threads on the board...that tells me there are a ton of HAMBers who really dig these trucks. In the classifieds, the cut-off is '64 and similar bodies; that covers the '60-'66 trucks here.

I've learned a lot, have really enjoyed this thread, and have gotten some ideas for my '62 Burb. As for the Sport Truck comment, I've also noticed a couple of really cool details there; several of the GMC trucks shaved their turn signal lights (don't know if I like that or not yet) and there was a fleet side with a custom tailgate that looked really good.

The reason I posted the sport truck photos is I thought that aside from the wheel/tire combo there might be some interesting mods on them you guys would like to see. I also did post some pictures of traditional style trucks as well. I find that sportruck.com and showtruckscene.com always post lots of car show pics (cars & trucks in every style) If anyone can suggest some other sites that post a lot of car show pics I'm all ears. Thanks !

that is a photoshopped image... done by the guy who owns it.

he mentions it in a thread here:

    http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=227601&highlight=dropped

There are some more images of that same truck in the thread linked above, which is a thread about dropped 60-66 trucks.

    old chevy truck geek, out,

im leaning towards chopping mine 3.5". and shortening the bead somewhere between a long bed and a short bed. i just think the shortbeds are a little too short.

the four doors.. just thought they were neat, saw them while checking out websites...
they were built for gm by 3-4 different coach companies for the service industry. Military, railroad, forest service ect.

Holy crap--a '61 Plymouth front clip on it?! That's awesome.
I typically don't like the really out-there stuff, but that's a great idea, and I'll bet it looks kick-ass when you're done. Keep us updated!
