1974 sd 455 i owned for 5 years. I never had the money to restore it. sold on ebay in january for $30K. Paid $2300. new babies and a house restoration forced the sale..

    66k original miles..
    Ran and drove fine..
parked under a blue tarp in 1984, rusty as hell. could be saved..

    I will never own another.
the go for over $100k when they do come up for sale.

1970 plymouth sport fury GT,440,auto. The GT is what made it rare. 666 made in all, bought and sold it about 2 years ago. Proud of this one because I saved it from the demo derby, last time I checked the registry knows of about 10 or so.

It is a great big piece, but it looks cool to me and I don't see too many of them most days.

I would have to say my Amphicars are the rarest. I have one the Beatles rode in to a concert in Cleveland, 1966. Another one is a 4000 mile survivor.

my 62 wildcat is the rarest i have owned. in 62 wildcat was a trim option for the invicta consisting of bucket seats console with tach, floor shifter, came with a standard 3.42:1 rear end. A 4.45:1 rear end was optional. 2000 were made, and is estimated around 53 remain on the road today.

Wow very cool! I love it!!!!!

And the rest, too! Crazy what cool stuff the HAMBERS have!
So many different cars, from all years and countries. Very cool.

My rarest are a 55 Nomad, 69 Charger R/T 4 Speed and a 65 Buick Wildcat Custom Coupe with rare options. Not a 4 Speed though, but I'm looking for one. Just about 6 or 7 are still known, of a bit more than 200 built. Anone knows one for sale?

I had a car that was supposed to be a '68 AMC Javlin SST, I was young and didn't have the know-how to acually run the numbers or anything. But when I did the brakes I got the wrong parts, then I remembered that the SST supposedly had Ambassador brakes(bigger). Got brakes for an Ambassador and hey, whaddaya know, they fit..........

I owned two 1970 Sport Fury GT's back in the seventies and early eighties. One was Chrysler zone rep's car when it was new.

I've had three Hemi cars, 68 and 69 GTX and a 69 Roadrunner. Sold them back when they were still cheap. I still have my 69 A12 440-6bbl Roadrunner that I bought in 1979.

  16. I guess this counts...My father owns a 1967 Mercury Comet Cyclone, 427/410hp. w-code (single 4 barrel). It is one of eight built and the only "limefrost green" painted Cyclone. It was the last 427 Cyclone built in 1967. It only has 16,000 miles on it and was never a race car. He is the second owner. The car is concours restored and a multiple AACA Grand National winner. The problem is it is too nice and valuable to drive and he is tired of the show scene so it sits in the garage most of the time.:( He has thoughts of selling it but it is to cool to get rid of...LOL

It doesn't fit the HAMB but it's RARE. An 82 Sj410k. There are 10 or less in the US. [IMG]

This is what it looked like when I bought it in Saskatoon, SK. I get offered 5x what I paid for it at least once a year.

I've got a 27 Essex coupe tub sitting on block... probably not all that rare although it's not an easy one to get parts for.

I actually invented the sport of drifting in '69 Pontiac Executive just prior to the inaugural Clover Leaf Nationals, which was preceded by the 2nd annual Whiskey Shot Nationals. My current '57 Eldo Seville isn't rare by these standards. Neither is the '70 Wildcat vert.

Mercmad, these long wheelbase trucks are really rare in the states because Suzuki didn't import them to the US. They were imported into Canada and even there they're considered rare. The few that did come to the states came into California.

We do have a ton of the short wheelbase 410's though.

If you ever run into a parts vehicle, let me know... I'd love to get some spare bedsides.

The rarest I've owned was an '84 Ford LTD LX. The LTD was the replacement for the Fairmont and the LX had the 5.0 HO, AOD, 3.27 Traction Loc and a different interior/dash/console. Basically the car was a 4-door Mustang GT. Only made 84-85, 7000 total. Not one of Ford's "better ideas," but the perfect car for me. Power everything, cornered great, 0-60 in 8 seconds. I owned that thing twice and it finally rotted away in 2000. I hope to own another one.
