I've had a pile of Model T Ford parts put aside for a 1915 era speedster for years. This year at Hershey I bought a Frontenac Model S head and an original Morton & Brett two man speedster body from a friend. I've sold off most of the '15 era stuff and will have a correct 1923 Speedster some day. Getting rid of extra stuff is a good idea, I need to focus on the keepers.

well didn't do to bad. 2 1928 sedans a 31 slant post Not hamb material 71 Torino 500 traded a blown up rusted pos 70 cougar for it. Then put a 460 auto in it and drove her all summer. I hope next year i can get the 31 roadster I've been dealing on. I also hope the 46 ford sedan with the merc flathead and columbia rear end will come home.
Have only bought me a 41 Ford Tudor this year and just waiting for it to get to Sweden in Febuary 2008
Here's the old prts chaser again. I bought it in July 07 and got it back on the road. Its the only thing I bought this year. 48 Poncho

"Bought" this one.. but it will be sold within a week to another HAMB'r, it's too far gone. ... "Trying" to buy this one, I've never seen a really rust-free unrestored '57 Mopar, and this one has all the bells n whistles including its orginal 392. Yes they're ugly, I'm attracted t to them like a magnet. See my signature. And wish me luck.
Comparing those last two cars- the first one has a much shorter rear window, right. Like them both a lot- don't see them enough.
Animal, they're both '57s with Hemis! Jim, very observant, that is one of the subtle differences between the low-level cars and high-level Chryslers and DeSotos. The cheapie 2dr Firesweeps and Firedomes, and Windsors and Saratogas got the small back glass, while the Fireflites, Adventurers, New Yorkers and 300s all got the tall glass. Just to confuse things, the cheap cars could get the big back glass as an option but it is extremely rare.
bought and saved my '69 chevy pickup from the yellow paint, and crappy bodywork, the 80's billet rims are going soon, a set of cragars will replace them also, traded, and am in the middle of saving a 55 chevy bel air sedan which got an engine rebuild over the summer, and there are currently wires hanging out every which way, we might need a HAMBer or two with wiring experience to come help out since we are both stumped right now...
I bought my first real hot rod this year. Well, at least it will be a hot rod. I had a 68 cougar before this but I didn't really do much to it. Little stuff, like shift kit, rear end ratio etc. But nothing major. This is my 55 chevy. It's got a great running 235 and powerglide, 10 footer paint and an ugly but serviceable interior. Immediate plans are disc brakes, a 383 and a four or five speed trans. Long term plans include a return to the original tuxedo black and ivory color exterior (satin?) and white tuck n roll / delray combo interior. At this point I think I might have done things a little backwards. I don't have a house/garage yet. I figured I'd get the rod, do the motor and trans.... then I could afford to get a house.
Picked up a '27 Ford cowl to replace the '23 Dodge cowl I was going to use to build my RPU with. Before Chop After Chop Picked up a '49 Caddilac for the wife but it ended up goint to a good bud who wanted it more than she did. Then I picked up this '58 Sledsel, which I can't seem to pry my fat ass out of!
I sold a guy a big back window out of a '58 Saratoga, which only tells me they're more common than you'd think. Car was so rotty that if you stood on the bumper, you'd get an inch gap where the top of the glass moved out of the back window. I didn't figure anyone for trying to save it.
Bought this 37 Willys sedan but it is already cut up all to hell. I'm using the chassis, floorpan, inner fenders and rear pan to save my gutted coupe body.Body, floor etc are cherry. Almost bought one from rustynewyorker but just a little too far away for me to check out.
Well since I just joined a few months ago you've probably already seen it but........... '55 Studebaker Commander Regal C-Body Coupe with a '56 Studebaker 289. It was a Texas car brought to the Midwest around 1970 or so that's been in storage for most of the past of 35 plus years. It needs some TLC but runs and only has very minor rust just starting in the usual areas.
No cars this year but a couple of bikes that hackers were trying to make choppers out of and had no idea what they were doing. 1984 Harley Sportster, 1968 Triumph Bonny. and a 1978 Honda cb 400
I picked up this from a scrap yard: and this was a week away from the crusher: I got both for scrap weight.....
After 14 years of dreaming and waiting for sufficient funds, I finally got my 48 Chevy coupe back in April. Drove it all summer while restoring it on the weekends. Got the new engine in last week and get the exhaust done tomorrow. Only one thing left to do after that: Vrrrrroooooom .....
