    With the pic Mazdaslam posted of the bare nova fastback. the tops look like fiberglass. I wonder if they started as convertible bodies?

    Man, such great stuff on this post! I've surely been enjoying it.

    I don't have much to add except some dream team drawings I did in the early '70's. I was about 13, & I'd make up race teams using classmate's names or whatever.

    Don't worry Steve,everyone from Jim Kramer to Dick Towers and others who know way more then you or I, know that I'm recreating the car from the parts that are left.I've made it clear that the shell isn't the real deal.Hell if you look at the photos it's obvious.Now get over it and post photos or go away.

    Cool.

    What was the whole reason for the altered wheelbase thing? It seems like they would have been back heavy. Or, did the shortened wheelbase handle the weight transfer better?
