I'm still wondering when you're gonna bring the blue Merc home,so maybe I can see it at a show or something. Since there's no chance of me going to Texas,anytime soon.

I adore Sour Kraut, Jesse. Its kick-ass! I'm building up a bug too, that car is total inspiration.

the 51' Merc is gonna stay in Austin and be my Texas beater......Fat Lucky is just finishing up the interior this week.....should be done, done for the Round Up....

WOW! That looks really nice!!! Have Fat Lucky post some pic's when the interior's done. Hope to do my interior soon. Want it done by the summer.

 

VW. One of the best engines to learn on. Tough little things. Built my first one from about 11 engines. Had no idea what rod inserts were but it still ran! I was a happy 12 year old kid with a dune buggy that I built. Learned how to weld on one of those critters.
Had a Karman Ghia, a split window, a couple of busses and a whack of beetles (no Supers though.. too "new" for us cool kids).

 

Just wondering Jesse, what was one of your favorite builds on Monster Garage, aside from the ones you are keeping?
