  1. I'm in love with the Jake's Speed car. The pic with the 2 Cudas(?) is pretty fucking badass too. Keep em coming. And Jimmy, great videos, thanks

I wanna hear some Marc and Mitch Danekas stories, guys! The statute of limitations has probably run out by now and isn't Marc no longer alive, anyway? Thanks for the pics, also. Awesome history!

Is the real Mooneyham Sharp coupe in Garlits museum? There's lots of similar cars running around, aren't there?

Anybody got the vid of the Don Green restored Rat Trap going up on one wheel and getting totally crossed up? Think it was at a CHRR or Bakersfield event within the last decade?

Got totally crossed up beyond belief, you could clearly see the bottom of the car, but he managed to keep it upright.

I'd also love to see some vids of early 60's Chris Karamesines driving skills. I've read on the internets how he could get totally crossed up past half track and throttle the car back on all fours. Downright supernatural!

    C. Phil - I also found the antique dragster-into-hot-dog-cart sacreligious, but Jesse seems OK with it, plus they saved the body, and hopefully the vintage driveline pieces, so there may be a cackle car out of this someday, anyway? But, Tim Condor knows how to make a five point roll cage look sexy, so you could make it legit and drive it the full 1320? Shriners on Nitro?

Just what was the original history of the hot-dog-dragster, anyway?

And why would Garlits build his modern 392 -recreation, but keep the old 3 point cage? (See recent HRM) Seems incongruous? Maybe he didn't want to tempt himself into really racing the thing, as he's always warned about the dangers of these things. They were dangerous then, and they would still be dangerous now.

We're all pulling our weight here. Some of you guys contribute priceless historical pics, and others contribute....babbeling. It all cosmically balances out, doesn't it?

-90% Jimmy, about 60 miles from Fay Butler's place, I think?

Man thats balls, put it on its side. Roll back right way up and run again, almost repeating part one!

I am probably wrong on this but didnt the original Mooneyham & Sharp coupe get stolen never to be seen again?
