Todd give 08 HELL. You've proven you can do it by....just doing it . Like you said family, friends, health, a hot rod or 12 , what more could a man want. Sorry for your losses , but glad your keepin on. With aall that farm land when do you have time to enjoy the family and car? Good luck.

    Todd,
You know a little about what I've been through this year, so won't get into that. Each year has it's good and bad. Some seem to suck worse than others...Just remember that you have family here that are always willing to help no matter what...Still praying for Dale, and you every day man....

And I thought it was only me that had a crap 07!

Business that I had spent 4 years building got screwed by the credit crunch. Result? Had to lay off 18 people and ended up £330K in debt.

Then the tax man decided that even though I had built 3 hospitals, 2 schools and was personally paying for the entire Polish population in the south of england that I needed to give him my last pound of flesh so that they they could put up a few more 'safety cameras' to catch me going 70mph on a clear dual carriage way where the limit is 60mph...

No where near as bad as the year others have had but sometimes reading about the misfortune of others really puts your own troubles into perspective.

Still have my health, a beautiful wife and 4 great kids.

08 is a new start for us all in many differant ways.

I raise my glass to everyone else that took a kicking on 07.

Cheers! Good health and Happy New Year!

    Paul

Been there done that. The years 2004 and 2005 were real bad around here.
With Faith, and freinds we made it through.
And with the tough times you find out quick who your freinds are ( sounds like a line from a country song ).
And I sure you can sit back and be amazed of all of the freinds you have.
And be proud of the Kick Ass car show you put on last year.

And may you have a great 2008

  7. 2007 was a bad year for a lot of us. But a lot of good came out of it too. I got to meet you , your family, and all the Kropdusters. After being a loner all my life, I joined the Kropdusters and now for the first time in my life, I feel like I have found my long lost family. Hang in there bro, any time you need to talk, you got my number. Peace be with you in 08. John

2007 can lick my ass as well! Probably the worst year I ever had. The amazing thing is that even though it was a horrible year I had some great things happen to counter-balance things!

I'll say this though... I'm glad today is the last day and tomorrow is the start of what WILL be the best year I've ever had! I'm puting 2007 in the vault and moving on. I raise my glass to 2008 and I'm glad to bring so many good people with me into the new year!

Cheers to the HAMB and everyone here!

I'm also looking forward to the new year. I lost my father at the age of 54 ( He had a stroke in the brain stem area) this year and it seems like that is the only thing that I can remember happening. This place sure has kept my mind occupied though. Viva La HAMB!!!!!!

Yep, 2007 pretty much gave me the stiff one-eye.

Lost my license and a lot of other things went to shit.

All pretty much my own fault, but either way I'm looking for 2008 to be better year.

Happy new year to everyone. Be careful if you're out on the roads tonight. With all the completely blitzed "amateurs" (as my dad likes to call them) out there driving around after midnight it can be a dangerous situation. Try to be safe.

Boy guys, I don't feel so bad now. I am in good company! This year has been the worst ever! As others have said, It can fuck off!!! Been unemployed for 3 months now. Thank God for my wonderful wife, daughter and the rest of my very supportive family. Hope 2008 will be better for ALL of us!

  15. Seriously!!!!!!! If no loved ones die in 2008 it will be a thousand times better than 07. 06 was the worst of all for me... Dad dead at 54, lost grandpa and 2 dogs.

  18. Thankfully I lost no one close to me, well not a person. I did lose my shop dog. My condolences to all that lost someone.

2007 By far, has been the shittiest year that I can remember..

It can fuck off, piss up a rope, take a long walk off a short pier, and live with my crazy mother in law..(thats the worst thing I can imagine)

The only good thing coming out of 2007, is going to be alot of beer piss tonight, and knowing what not to do next year.

Here's to a new start and a better year! (Holding beer up in salute)

  24. Hey Todd, sorry to hear that you had such a bad 07. Mine wasn't that great here at the end, but it did teach me a couple things. I learned who my friends are and learned a lot about how great my wife and son are. Everyone was there when I needed it. On the bright side, I made several friends during the year. Some I just met for the first time this year after spending hours chatting on the HAMB with them. (Yeah that includes you, Todd)

You and Shana are great people. Be greatful for what you have.

For me 1988 was the year I hope never happens again. Too much to relate here and it's in the rear view mirror and getting smaller every day.

Todd, this is the year you meet me (bet you don't remember where) so how bad could it have been:rolleyes: Also the year I met your wife and let me tell you , your a very fortunate man.
So chin up and meet the New Year head on. Hope to see you again sometime and maybe next time you'll remember.:D

Todd, have a good year with what it dishes up to you. In our discussions in the chat, you know that I believe everything happens for a reason. Yes it may test your faith. But one day you will look back and realize how much life 's tough times have taught you.
