Considering how few Franklins were built ,it's surprising how many gave up their front axles...I love this style of car!!!

  7. Some of these look like Exhibit postcards. They made cards of all kinds of subjects but I've never seen these.

Is this the same Anderegg car that Von Franco cloned?Except for the nose/hood,it kinda looks similar.......

  9. Good eye..It did say some were exhibit postcards...

    GaryC.

Those look like old penny arcade post cards.
    I had a few when I was a kid.
    SUPER STUFF!

    Brought back some old memories.

The Drag Coupe was from Gerstner's Speed Shop in Buffalo, NY.
It was a deep Kandy Green with black highlights.
This car made a huge impression on me when I saw it
in some of the "little" car mags in the early 60's.
The grill shell was filled with flat aluminum
and had a little boy and girl looking down
into their diapers. Above their heads was written...
    "There is a difference!"

    Possibly the speed shops slogan.

  21. That's awesome...Is the rest of the car still around?

I bought all these pics and a few more from the guy. Some(as mentioned)were exhibition cards and are on a thick card stock of some sort. The info for each car is on the back..kinda like a baseball card, only bigger...glad i stayed home and surfed the net that day:D
