  1. OK it's Wednesday...but I haven't done any new art for nearly a year and today I did some....I had a real shit year last year (it went from real highs to real lows and trying to jump off a 3rd floor balcony didn't really help too much either!!)......but this year it's gona be different and I'm real positive so..
it may be simple...it may be on a base tube... it may have only taken an hour or so but it means a lot to me as it means I still want to paint.
Not a copy but very Tinglerish (OK pretty much a copy but I have to get back some how!!!) Hope you like it.

I made this from pressed particleboard/chip board . The different sizes and directions that the pieces of wood run gives it a different look.

Mate, I can very much understand where your coming from. I haven't put pencil or paint to any medium in about two years now.
Its great to hear that things are looking up for you, one step in the right direction. Pretty soon you will be running!

    HEY!!! WHAT THE.....

Just joking. I dig it. I can tell you looked at one of mine to do it, but you've changed it enough that I can tell you haven't "copied" it....or in other words TRACED it.

I'm going to write this real big so everyone can understand.

There is nothing wrong with doing that! :D

It's an honor to have you reference my artwork...and that's a nice piece too!

Very cool. Thanks for sharing it. :)

  8. Okay, I'll jump in the early art show, this is just a sketch I did a while back that I just scanned into the computer. It's a rendition of how I want my '27 rpu to look (my own sheetmetal from the back of the doors rearward), I had kind of a long wheelbase in mind (118") and wanted to see how it would look in scale (I think I drew it in 1/16th scale). and the engine in the pic is a 4cyl Opel,,, why? cause I have a built 2 liter opel engine under the bench, not to mention they look pretty correct with a finned pan and rocker cover.

I am not actually sure fo the rider or the bike. I got the picture from the jockey and just thought it was a bad ass picture maybe I'll have to research it!

  21. I've got a question for you guys! :D:D

I pm'ed Ryan as well as some of the artists, and some of you said to post this publicly, so here it is.......... I'm the founder and director of a not-for-profit group called FAST FRIENDS in Southern Colorado. We help out families of seriously- and terminally-ill kids in our area, and use car- and bike-related events to do it. We're having a swap meet on March 1, 2008 with lots of cool stuff going on, and an auction at the end of it. We would be honored if any of the HAMB artists would be interested in contributing a piece for our auction. If you care to help, please PM me for an address to send contributions, as I don't want to put anyone on the spot or cause a hassle. Thanks for reading this and Thanks In Advance to those who choose to help.:) [IMG]

paulatxntric, I've been there too, maybe not on a third floor balcony but close enough. Nice to hear that you are getting out of it!

PBR Allstar, Good to see an Opel in the Art show.

I've just finished this -53 Opel for my brother-in-law. He bought my Aunts first car that she have had standing in a barn for the last 30 or so, years. This is a mild version with just wheels and a lowering (And converted to 5-lug).
