I too am looking for a drawing by Steve, a black flamed 1960 Impala with American Racing Rims. I used to have this picture, which I cut out of my magazine, hanging on the wall of my office. When the factory shut down, I put the picture in a box, but I cannot find it. I think I have tracked it down to a 1996 issue, but I can't be sure. This one will be a little harder to scan, the front of the car is on one page and back 3/4 is on the right side of the page. I have spent hours in Google trying to find this picture, that is how I found this site. If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance for any help. you can also email me at bones.1961@gmail.com....

Kiwi Kev...what ever happened to the Chev wagon( widened mags on the rear) you were building that Steve Sanford did a rendering of?
When I was a kid I had a poster of an overhead shot, looking straight down at 2 front engine dragsters doing a burn out. I think it was Steve Stanford or Kenny Youngblood that did it. Anybody know? Thanks.
"oh, hang on, ive got the original, steve stanford is a friend of mine"??!! damn you ocfab! he is god of car art to me, great style, great art technique. id kill for an original! 2 of my prized possessions, framed posters on my loungeroom wall look forward to you posting anything else of his you may have to share...
Mercmad.....Sitting beside my house 1/4 done, untouched for 10+ years. Lost interest when I got my Mercury wagon. I need to sell it but haven't tried too hard. It's a 59 Chevy 2dr wagon.
I don't know how to post a link but check out the thread "I like this guy's style",...tons of Steve Stanfod's work,... Janne was a big contributer.
The King. It's not so much that he's got a super clean distinctive style....it's his IDEAS. That's a RARE combination man!
I've always dug Steves work. Esp the F100 he sent into Hot rod recently. The one with the Buick wires...anyone got that one?...haha I moved and all my stuff is in my storage area
Steve did a drawing of a '54 Chevy with a '51 Fastback roof for Rod & Custom in 1995. In 1999, I bought a '51 Chevy and went with a mid-60s mild custom finish and added '54 rear fenders and taillights. It has been on the road since 2002, and I finally got to meet Steve and show him the car at the Leadsled Spectacular in 2008. More shots of Smoothie and a rendering that Steve did for me can be seen on Rik Hoving's site at http://public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_.../49-51_chevy_custom_cars/augie-holtkort-1951/. ____________________________ "It ain't and old car ...
