I am thinking very seriously about an early 60's Caddy. Whats your opinion...Kool or not? If so, what makes them kool, or what makes them not kool? Just wanting opinions. Can they be "traditional"? Thanks!!!

Go for it, they make some cool cruisers. I have always liked the early 60's big GM cars. You cant get much better for comfort either.

I love big cars myself, up to '76. After that they didn't have any "soul". I've always thought the '60 Cads were the best looking Caddys. I had a '64 Coupe project that never got off the ground, wish I still had it. Scoop up a '64 Coupe, throw a tri-power & some pipes on it & go cruizin'!! Look sweet with some Astro Supremes or some Radirs. I like mine factory ride hight or only a little lowered, like 1 or 2" so I can drive 'em anywhere. Don't know 'bout how traditional they are, when guys were driving around these jalopies we are trying to emulate they probly weren't driving an expensive car like a Caddy. But they're old cars, & old cars is old cars!

    Later- John

****! Who cares!!! If you want one.....buy it!!!Most pre 70's cars are cool. Caddys being, probably, the coolest early 60's cars out there. Except maybe Rivieras,Buicks, and Pontiacs.

Caddies are always cool. no matter what year your talking about. Some years need a little work, most need none. Early 60's need none.

I seen one a couple years ago for sale at spring carlisle, early 60's caddy. It was from New york area, the car was called Gang Green, beautiful looking car, feel in love with it but didn't have the asking price in my pocket at the time. later shawn

Amen !!! I had a '60 Coupe DeVille a few years ago. Unfortunatly, it was a previous '70's resto job that turned out to be a bucket of bondo, so I got rid of her. One of these days I will own another though ! Good luck with your hunt and post a pic of what you end up with !
