Okay...so... I am just wondering who may be making it out here for this? I want to go, but by the sounds of the flyer, you have to have a custom-which i do not have. haha. Guess I can go without the car. Anyway! Its right where my fiance and I live, so we cant ignore this show. Im actually looking forward to it, and from what I hear, its gonna be a chilly one. heres the link to the flyer: http://www.jacksonrodandcustom.com/2008Flyer.GIF Just figured i'd throw it out there. Cheers! Niki
It's a typical "car show" with an emphasis on street rods. They will have about 300 cars present..... if they don't predict rain that weekend (& they will). I wouldn't drive more than an hour to see it. The "gold chain", "over 50" crowd seems to love it though. There won't be more than 3 HAMB-friendly cars there. Guaranteed. JH
I'd go if I were there, besides Paso Robles was pretty much a "Gold Chainer's" run until the late 80's/early 90's and all the Rock A Billy guys and gals started showing up and made the West Coast Kustom's show what it is today. YA! I was there from the start.
ill be there as usual, that was the first show i drove the 51 to and it was in primer, no gl***, just got the thing running and wanted to drive it some where. its a good show to go to and if you want to go to streetrodding.com for carshow pics from past years. or look at some past street rodder mags for their coverage. http://www.streetrodding.com/index.cfm/f/carShows.showCoverage
I drove there from Indy about 5-6 yrs ago in my "street rod" had a good time. still have the hat & tee shirt
