Hudson, MA- Mid Winter Drag Fest

Attention all New England Hambers:
I have attached a flyer for the Mid-Winter Drag & Hot Rod Fest. This is the fourth annual event and has grown into one of the best things to look forward to each and every Winter. There will be plenty of drivers and hot rodders from New England's past and present. Come join your freinds for a fun Saturday afternoon, and chase away "The Winter Blues"

This is always a good time....Kinda get to see some guys, see what they are doing for their winter projects, drink some bevs, etc....good time at a good venue....

 

Jim, As 1929rats said: It is always a good time. Fred Hire, from the Push Rods club puts the show on, as a way for every one to get together during the Winter. Fred put me in charge of the photo department, I have voluteered photos from my collection, and arranged for others to do as well. There are new/ old pictures,and film turning up every year, that are projected on a large screen. There are table full of memorabillia, 50's and 60's music, food, and a bar if your thirsty. Best of all you get to see all your old friends, plus you will see a lot of the guys who made New England racing what it was.

 

Awesome show! Don't miss it!!

Exactly...besides everyone needs a break from the projects by then any ways. See you guys there.

 

bump...this is the only posting I see here on the hamb, and the get together is a real good time...besides...it gives me a break from wearing my monkey suit wrenching in my cold garage breathing in Kerosene and fiber-gl*** ---for one saturday out of the winter....at least....also, they sell beer there so yeah....BUMP

I think that you said that you are in charge of pictures. I was thinking of bring my laptop to set on a table somewhere with a slide show of Ty-Rods and All-Timers and Pine Speedway reunion going. If you want any of my picture for a bigger slide show that you might be putting together let me know and I can give you a CD or DVD.

We encourage people to bring pictures to share. There will be tables set up around the hall, some will be reserved for vendors, and there will be tables for people to display pictures and memorabilia, these are first come first serve, but we will try to accomodate everyone. I think people will like to see your slide show of the Ty-Rods and All-timers and Pine Speedway. If you need a power souce for your laptop, bring an extension cord. The pictures on the BIG screen will be from the 50's, 60's, and early 70's, if have any early pictures from New England hot rodding and drag races, let me know.

Ther is no food vender this year. Grab a bite before you come, there is a DeAngelo's and PaPa Gino's a block away from the hall. Bring some snacks, and the bar is open.

BTT Don't forget this Saturday, The Mid Winter Hot Rod and Drag Racing Nostalgia Fest, at the Hudson Elks. There will be a couple of race cars on display outside, but most of the activety will take place inside. The weatherman is predicting good weather for traveling. See you there.

 

BTT Back to the top one last time. Update on food, PaPa Gino will deliver food to the hall. There are menues at the hall, and they will have an extra driver on duty. There is also a McDonald's a block away. See you Tomorrow!!!

I'm hauling a car load of old hoodlums there this afternoon.

 

Well I got to say it was a great time today,we had a blast,cant wait to do it again next year,so thanks to all the guys that put it on.
