I've used both ez and painless very similar in everything but price. ez is a little cheaper..I don't know anyone personally that has used rebel wire but the Hamber's seem to speak highly of them

Not one comment about Ron Francis. I wonder why?

Painless -Ez Neither is either. I used the painless for my 51 Merc it went well, the wiring diagrams are pretty plain Jane, don’t say much. The work is in the planning. It was separated front rear interior when I got it but I laid mine out on the driveway and sorted out what wires I was going to use and which ones I was not. I kept them spooled separately in their respective area. When I was going to pull a section through a cover I made sure I had all the wires ready to snake through. I did not crimp any connections each one was soldered so I would not have any issues. Add a few grounds, ground the dash to the body under the dash and do a body to chassis ground strap in the trunk and a body to chassis under the hood as well. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

  5. I tried EZ a few years back.Unless their instructions have improved,I would not recommend them.Their instructions were too simplistic and were incomplete.I was in electronics in service and I like a schematic,EZ had nothing close to that.

Ron Francis is one of the better if not the best kit for some one who has no or very minimal experience with automotive electronics. Most of use are a little more adept at this stuff and can't see spending the really big bucks for Ron and American Auto Wire. Very good harness but you are paying for the name. If your building a $50 to $100,000 and up car. Then go for the big name. I just don't see the benefit. I am not negative on their kits. They are very good, just too pricey.

Main dig i hear against Ron Francis is the fact that you have to make each connection into the fuse panel, & then run wire out. I've seen a couple of RF harness installed by folks that had no clue....it wasn't pretty.

I used e-z from e-bay ,and also a gauge harness from speedway ,so the dash panel could be removed for service .Everthing went well ,all you need is a lot of butt connectors to cap off not needed circuits and shrink wrap on all connectors.

Are they cheaper than Rebel Wire? I think glenn's an Alliance Vendor, but I'm not certain...it'd be nice to see the money go to a H.A.M.B.er rather than some random ebayer...just my .02

I agree but price is a big factor here and im not an alliance member yet. Another thing is not many people on here have used the rebel kit well atleast not many of the people that posted to my question. If I have a question or am having trouble it would be easier to ask and get an answer with something that most of the people that responded have used.
