I thank you Royal Shifter for the pic of Leland, the rail photo that Lady Shifter posted who is that? I am looking for pics of Leland's Frank Huzar RCS built car of 1966 if there are any around. That car is /has been returned to USA and I would love to see some pics of it as it ran in the US before it came to Australia in 1969. Thanks for any help you can provide, BobH.

Is the pic that Lady Shifter posted one of Leland, it looks like the RCS built car.

  7. Trust me, it is the Tasca car. I've seen it in person and have talked to Sam about it. Looks alot different now but it is the car.:D

  11. Here is a very unusual dragster, the Noel-Black twin engine 4 wheel driven terror. Can you imagine driving THAT thing @ speed?!?!

Dang thats scary!! You don't have anything to do with Mr Blue a race car chassis builder that used to be in Bayswater Vic (Australia) by any chance?

  13. NOPE, sorry. I've never gotten over there to Australia yet...but want to before I kick the bucket tomorrow! Glenn

Quick question for Royal Shifter-- do I have to go back and review the pages that used to have the red x's? My butt is getting sore thanks to this thread (which, I might add, has been made known on several other boards, including a Boston-based music board!) Best thread ever, on any board, hands down. Hell, nekkid ladies are easy to find-- but this stuff is like finding gold.

That second pic of Noel Blacks car is funny.Gotta love all the rail birds with their fingers in their ears.LOL

  21. That's SICK. THAT's what made the 60's Drags so great. You'll never see the variety of ideas ever again. I wonder why no front motor activity in both photos?

  30. All I have to say is"WOWWWWWWWWWWW" what a great thread. It has a lot of great cars that bring back great memories like the night E.J. Potter tripped the lights at Detroit Dragway with his body doing 179 MPH. And the picture of the Ramcharger's first club car which is the 49 Plymouth with the high boy looh and the snake headers coming out of front wheel wells.
