Per my wife's grandfather the rest of the truck got washed away, but should still be on their property...I have searched but came up empty:(

I was thinkin Nash...... Very cool truck, and yes it would be nice to see that one saved.....I think a resto rod would be cool. Mostly "original" but with a lowered stance and wheel change.

it's a 40's Packard with a 47-54 GM truck back panel on it. Looks like a decent job, too.

Agreed on both counts. You can see "clipper" on the side. I'm going to guess 48 based on the inter-door running boards.

Not really abandoned any longer.....was my grandfathers’ only working car for a period of time in the 50’s…came with the hot paint job when he purchased it...had not ran since ’84. Got it running/driving a couple weeks ago.....

  21. Man, that '46 Packard pickup is a neat piece, looks like it's pretty well done - or else they just got lucky and the Chevy cab back fits that easy.

The closest I ever found to that, as kids along this trail that's supposed to go to a boy scout camp there's a Packard just like it - but it was either purposely rolled a couple times or was jumped on bad by the kids, roof's caved in, fenders mashed up, hood gone, the only piece of glass left intact was a map light hidden under some trim on the dash. Probably still there.

My buddy may have found a 32-34 Ford 3-window in a yard today, he couldn't get close enough to tell just what year but it was definately a 3-window coupe. He did find a '36 3-window. When he gets the pictures back, or if I get a chance to go back with him, I'll post up a shot or two. Maybe.

I'm still working on the picture thing. I haven't totally embraced the 21st century yet. I'm still trying to cope with the 20th century. If these pictures actually work I'll send some more. Not as depressing as the big pile of iron that broke my heart.

here aresome abandoned rod material. a 40 ford 2 dr. standard, a 42-46 ford pickup, a 48 ford 2dr. super deluxe and a 52 packard 250 2dr. hardtop sport. The 40 and 48 have been parked sheltered since around 1960. the others outside since about the same time. I got the 48 and it still has the 61 tag on it.

Here is how the 48 turned out washed. Not much paint left but it was maroon so what is left blends in with the rust.
