although that car is great i think yours deserves alot of respect as it is one of my favorites of all time.everytime i see it i have to stop and stare for a bit!!!!!
@Olson (that's my last name too) ... the picture of the Kustom you attached in your post: is the coveted "Clif Inman '57 Chrysler" ... built in the early 60's by famed NorCal customizer Joe Wilhelm. Wilhelm chopped Clif's '57 Windsor 3 1/2" and made numerous other modifcations to the car ... including its custom tubular bar grille, quad headlights, a '58 Dodge windshield, '60-'61 Mercury Comet rear window, custom '58 Chrysler tailights, reworked tailfins & decklid, removed side trim, lowered suspension, etc., etc. In the early 80's, my father (with the help of fellow Hot Rodders) found this lost "milestone custom" in the Fresno area ... pop's eventually purchased it ... and promptly sold it to film and record producer William E. McEuen ... McEuen solicited the talents of Rod Powell (@RodP on the HAMB) to restore the car's body & paint to its 60's glory! Here's some more pics of the car: from March 1964 Rod & Custom magazine feature as found in Fresno as it is today (courtesy Aspen Film Society website) NOTE: HAMBr @296 V8 started a thread devoted entirely to this Kustom (click HERE) ... HAMBr @Rikster has more pics of it in the Joe Wilhelm section of his website ... and @RodP posted a couple of pics of it HERE. __________________________________________________ @Gotgas ... the pictures of the black Chrysler you attached to your post are of a different car ... not the "Inman Chrysler" ... and as @emiliedk stated, this '57 Chrysler New Yorker Custom is currently somewhere in Scandinavia. @Gotgas ... Nope ... not it either ... as @50mercfan correctly pointed out, the car with the orange & white fade paint job is the Gene Winfield "Golden Sunrise" '58 Chrysler built for Zocchi ... later sold to @John D'Agostino ... and most recently in the hands of Bob Fryz (of Michigan) sporting a tubular bar grille and an Art Himsl Gold w/ scallops paintjob.
Yeah it is, I knew that all along, I just was testing you guys It just didn't look right to me for some stupid reason. When you posted, I looked closer and saw the rear fender and realized that I had made a ERROR in asking. BB
