well my buddy and i headed to the swapmeet today, pomona has been going down hill for a while now. bargains are far and few these days way too much **** that doesn't belong at the CAR swapmeet is brought in to be sold. so on the way home i told my buddy to make a pit stop at the NHRA Museum, i wanted to check out the Barris Exhibit before it left town. i hadn't been their in a long time and thought it would make up for the swapmeet...and hell yeah i was right!!:D here's my photobucket link with more pics being added, so check back! http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k231/raunchero/NHRA%20Museum/

and so everyone in town for the GNRS

Yeah...the swap meet ****s...I really dont go too much anymore and Im 15 minutes away....But there are some parts there if you look really hard. My dad scored a few nice 81 carbs for 100 bucks each today...so theres still a deal if youre willing to dig. Swapmeets are like women...you get one great find every 10 years... between that time just dram about your next steal.

    WOW! Thanks for the photos.
Although I have been many times, you just can't get enough of the museum.
The Doug's Headers Chevy altered wheelbase funny is the baddest looking machine. Many great memories of it running at LIONS. Geez, that thing was wicked fast and unstable. Thank goodness it survived.
    Anyway...thanks for sharing...

i wanted to make a post about the swap-meet as well what a wast of money. I did see a 59 Chevy convertible with every single panel rusted out for only $25500.00 what a deal and a used performer intake for a SBC $150.00. I thought they were only $99.00 new? I walked every row only to find New toys football flags and other non carparts items. i may not go back but what are my options other than long beach, which is a mini pomona with the same toys. There is the over priced E-bay. i think i will just stick with the HAMB

Wow = what great coverage. I've been to the museum w/o the Barris collection there, but those cars make it just that much better.

When is the Barris Collection over?

one of the reasons I dont go to pomona to often anymore. cost way to much just to walk in let alone the prices once you get in. long beach i feel still has some decent stuff but most times I walk out the same way I walk in... empty handed!
