Rebstew187 is building one of the slightly larger Nashes for his wife, plans are nice and low with a 4.3 - not much room for a V8. How exactly does a car make a good rat rod?

I'm sure somebody can remember this one better than I can:
"chopped nash" by Mr. gasser and the wierdos 1963

I was making the boneyard one saturday morn
on the trail of a gasser a little bit worn
I eyeballed an ugly that looked kinda sad
lying next to the doghouse at the junkies old pad.

    Chop-ditty chop chop
    chop-ditty chop chop
    .
    .

We tore out the floor to make room for a beast
a real wheely stander for 50 at least

a hole lot of chopping went on that night
a cootch or winfield would have died of fright
we chopped the shell for added appeal
lead was flying all over the place
the body was shaping up and ready to race

    Chop-ditty chop chop
    chop-ditty chop chop

I came off of the line screaming with might
but the nash was low it went under the light

    Chop-ditty chop chop
    chop-ditty chop chop

the only trouble with my little chopped nash
was like man, most of that ramble,
was laying back home in the trash

I was looking for pictures of the one that John buttera (spelling?) built years ago just the other day but I couldn't find it. I thought it was in one of my Dare to be Different issues. If I remember correctly it was white and pink or maybe that salmon color. I believed it was pro-streeted. I haven't seen it since I been a kid but that car got me watching for other of John's cars in magazines. Now I'm going to have to dig thru my boxes of magazines in my shop because I exhausted all boxes that are in the house.

  21. My hopped up Rambler (Eagle 4wd) family car towed this Nash descendant to the track where I raced the "Nash" all the way into the Final Four shootout by beating quite a few big block cars along the way.

    Rambler engines all the way.
I sure had a lot of fun.

that's the coolest looking wagon i've ever seen... if it was just clear coated so everybody could see the steel, it'd be perfect

    dare-to-be-different --
