Since posting last week, I have added fairings for '50 Ford taillights, flared the skirts [ cut from a '50 Ford hood ], sunk an antennae in the front fender, and shot it with primer.

I also began the R@P interior with half-round styrene strips. This will
be white with black plastic coated wire for piping.

I placed an order with Modelhaus for '47 Olds grille, '51 Ford dash, and '57 Caddy caps. In the meantime, I'll work on the chassis.

If anyone recognizes this car, can you tell me what's under the hood ?
    Nailhead ? Color ? Induction ? Thanks !

  3. That rear roof line looks familiar. A guy here has a purple one. Don't remember his screen name though.

  4. That car is posted in the Kustoms thread. Skip to about page 35. Cool model!

Here are some pics from the NITTC meeting on last saturday. I guess gassers where the main subjects on the table. A friend started the ford truck so I had to start the 58 chevy truck this week. The T-Bird belongs to another member then the Willys Aero belongs to a different buddy. WHEW Well anyway here are a few pics.

  11. Heres my first contribution to MCS....basically just a mock up of a build I'm gonna start on after I finish a current 32 roadster(too modern for here) and some other builds.....
    inspired by this wonderful car...

    here will be mine...

Amt 29 Model A body with same kit ala kart interior, and hood(fits the frame better) Revell 32 frame, revell model track grill modded to fit the hood, thinking on a solid medium military gray color, artillery wheels with white walls, flathead engine with the eddie meyer hop-up kit from R&M as well as thier Hallock windsheild. Not sure yet about the rest of it, but other than the track nose..its going to be similar to the above car. Hope you guys like it..I'll get to work on it soon.

You've picked a nice one to copy, retromodern101. I like it already !
Where'd you get those great wheels ?

  13. Hemi, I'm digging the C-Cab.
Where did you find a Dragula kit?
In the first pic, morphed with Ivo's Showboat.

A buddy sent it to me after I helped him with one of his model projects... sometimes it pays to be nice. :D

The C-cab is the "Famoso Sanitation" and it's all period-correct with many dragster parts from the early 60's. (save for the lafter 60's ladder bars... lol)

    I like the Evo car:

I'm also hacking up two of these... if you know what you are looking at, it's pretty wild.

and here are some projects that are taking waaaay too long :D

i've got almost 2 years into this build so far...

this one used to be a convertible, i hacked off the roof from the revell merc, and made room for it to fit my shoebox.

and here's a project i just completely dove into today, i got it from hammeredt in a big ol' box of model stuff he sent me a while back. it was a complete built up car, i tore it apart, chopped it, channeled it, lowered it, and i'm putting in a BBC with a hilborn FI intake, and it'll have a track nose, and pie crust slicks.
