I need some info.,and have done a search. I need to know some good recomendations for a 32 frame . I want it to have the reveal, and possibly be pinched for a model a body without fenders. any one have any good choices, or recomendations? thanks, jim.would like something in the south east.
many good `32 frame builders , some even on here so i will let them speak up ...but whatever you choose do not go with TCI. the frame rails are made of welded pieces and the reveal is all wrong. looks like crap
Kiwi Konnection in Bakersfield. The best frame for the money (starting at $1950) and is all tig welded. You won't regret using one of theirs. Here's their website: http://www.kiwikonnection.org/
Pretty fly frame jig, Narducci. I got the front half of some '32 rails here on the H.A.M.B. for $75. It's going to be channeled anyway, so I'll make the rest out of box tubing.
If your looking to buy your own frame rails and build the frame yourself. Go with a set of ASC rails. Thats what I used...
I plan to buy my '32 rails from J.W. Rod Garage. Wonder if they or a dealer will have a pair at Hershey in October?
Pete & Jakes, Peculiar Missouri. They do excellent work and are a pleasure to work with. The attached example was done for my 32 Tudor.
Thought they changed their rails so that they are narrower than normal and full width only if you weld on the boxing plates. Been a while since that was discussed, but you might want to check before you buy them.
I looked a the brookville frame at the roadster show. It has sharp edges. i didnt like the way it looked.
I started using JW Garaqge boxed rails after my welder of 10 years moved back to his hometown in Kansas. He had been boxing my ASC rails for many years. I'm just getting lazy so the JW rails were the only option and they have been working out good. I just put my 32 delivery body on one of my stg III chassis and it fit fine.
I am using ASC rails from Kiwi Konnection in Bakersfield, CA and I had them pinch the frame for me so it would fit my '29 roadster. I put in the cross members and boxing plates, which came from them too. They were great to deal with and I think that they use ASC frame rails as well.
I am very pleased with the frame Gary Maxwell at Blackboard Hotrods built for me. http://www.blackboardhotrods.com/
So-Cal's A-V8 frame was the ticket for my Model A. It was designed for the 28-29, however it is perfect fit for the 30-31 if you want a channeled look.
Yes, the only way JW Rod Garage offers their rails is with the small notch for the boxing plates. Just asked him a couple weeks ago about this, and he said he'd have to write a new program to trim them in the original Ford dimension. He did tell me that if I'd buy ten sets, he do it for me.
Must agree, I went to their shop couple years back and it was top notch quality stuff all tig welded and the owner is one kool cat. He will create anything you want on the frame.
