Been collecting parts for a year and things are coming together. The frame will be complete next week. Very cool work done by CMX Industries in Houston Texas. The motor 468 BBC is complete, the T56 six speed is complete minus the clutch and PP. Rear end complete 12 bolt spool. I cant wait. We are trying to drive it to The Texas Mile and to the Lone Star Roundup.
you'll probably get flack on here for the tunnel ram with the bug catcher but if it floats your boat, party away. keep us posted with more pics.
A lot of us local guys get together once a month. C'mon out. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233087&highlight=houston
Thanks for the replies. Yes the doors came to me allready chopped 4.5". I plan on chpping the top 5 " in two weeks.
your project sucks...... the frame looks great, I stopped by last week to check it out. get your shit together so I can come help you turn some wrenches. the Round Up will be here too soon. bye cuz, D.
Chassis looks cool, good to see something out of the normal being done. Higher res pics so we can see the detail? Cant wait to see the chop!
those pictures look like crap, it looks WAYYY better in person. your photographer sucks. I didn't make it by there today, gonna go tomorrow.
The body met the frame today. A very cool day, all body mounts are complete. I willl start the motor and trans install next week. I will have more pix tomarrow.
looks pretty cool todd... get a photobucket account and post some bigger pics, so we can see the details!!
Sorry all of these pictures have been from a cell phone. you wouldn't want to see them any bigger. I will have full size pics next week.
Nice work, shoot some pics of the body mounts if you can. I have never seen the way to do it. Thanks.
That thing is looking tough!! I really like the front crossmember and the craftsmanship looks pretty good as well. Thanks for the Pm on the update
Looks like he has a section of pipe with a bushing on the end, then a bolt going thru the channel of the body.
No, it really looks like the body is welded to that pipe and the other end is welded to the frame. That should crack all body welds nicely in about 10 miles of driving on Oklahoma Roads.
You are looking at the rear body mounts that are bolted to the body not visable in the picture. I will take some better pictures of the mount. Here is a better pic of the mid mounts. ts.
Dam Todd... I guess I should have given you a can of WD40 when you picked your car up! I didn't get any pics before the car left the shop, so keep posting them so I can steal them...
