"Outrage" circa 1973 56 Chevy Nomad with a straight axle, hopped up 71 Camaro and a hopped up. Ford Ranchero. Cars are throught out the entire movie as they terrorize the neighborhood.

"Corky" circa 1973 Guy drives a wild hopped up 68 Barracuda cross country.

Check out The Lively Set if you can, and King of the Mountain. The Lively Set is a B-movie, but some cool car in it.

Hey, how 'bout "The California Kid" with Martin Sheen and Pete Chapouris's rod? I don't think that flick is available 'cause it was a made-for-TV movie, but it was kinda cool.

For a little bit of trivia the Corky's Barracuda was also in the Sears Diehard battery commercial of the late 70's. It is where the dad's car would not start so he borrowed the son's car. As he is leaving he is stalling it out and having serious problems with using the clutch

The car had a Superbird wing on it, wild 70's paint and slot mags.

The cover it was on was 1001 Custom and Rod Ideas and also R&C. Very cool car.

They actually burned up a 56 Nomad at the end but it was not the car in the movie.

Has anyone heard of the the made for TV movie "The Ice Man" it was actually an extended episode of Tales from the Cript.

An exstreet racer now cop has a teenager hold his daugther hostage until he will race him. The cop unearths a wicked 57 Chevy to take the kid out. Considering its a Tales from the Cript episode its not a bad flick...

Now that was harsh! I'm only 24 and have weird"er" true 'car' stories than anything in American Graffitti i.e. being pulled over by a Texas Highway Patrolman when there was a cardboard box with 3 dead raccoons tied to the roof with an orange extension cord. The officer only asked what was in the box, then paused and said the tag light was out. He didn't even miss a beat when he asked my friend to get out of the car, and he crawled out of the window. No more questions were asked about the bloody box...he didn't even look in it! By the way, THE LIVELY SET is one GOOD hot rod movie! Eight thumbs up!

  27. I don't know the name of the movie but I do remember seeing it on tv years ago. I remember I liked it and not much more. Seems like Nick Nolty was the hero and the car was a 57 Chevy. May be wrong.

Another I remember seeing about the same time was called Wraith with Charlie Sheen and Randy (who squeezed the dog) Quade. Also the first place I ever heard, "stop digging for nose gold" lol. I guess it was kind of lame looking back but I liked it then.

I'll watch any movie with old cars in it but a few just stand out.
Lets not forget stuff like Walk the Line, that made fo tv Richie Valance movie LaBomba, that creepy ass epasode of X-Files with the 60 Caddy in it, The Car.

I loved a movie called Canonball, (not Canon Ball Run, though I love it too) with David Caradene tearassing around in a 70 Firebird. At some point he switches to a "cooch mobile" fastback Mustang that turns out to be realy hot.

Call me what ever you want But I loved Cars.

Hot Rods to Hell was just cool with that streight axle vette and that tall T. I still think about that car, like alot.

I loved the first Mad Max, Not just the Cars but all those KZ1000's roaring around made me a little aroused, (it's a KZ thing, if you never had one you wouldn't understand.)

    H. Knights was LAME, LAME, LAME!!! (except for the obligatory nude at the beginning, I kinda liked that part:rolleyes:) I get a little sick just thinking about Tony Danza being in a car movie.

A.G. RUles!!!, Funny though, you would think that with a movie so well made about the way it really was that you would see a few belly scraping, cut to pieces, ultra low "traditional" Model A sedans.
