I have built five '32 Fords over the years from the frame up and always managed to find a savable original frame until now. After considerable research I decided that building ASC rails without a jig was not the way to go. I also have some strong feelings about certain ways a frame should be built. I looked real close at a couple of builders but finally ordered a perimeter frame from Dwayne at the Kiwi Konnection in Bakersfield. Not only was the price reasonable, but the workmanship and welding is awesome. I got exactly what I wanted in a timely manner and then he worked a deal with one of his Kiwi buddies on shipping the thing to Arkansas that saved me a ton. As for the "Kiwi Konnection", I'll am very pleased and will buy from them again if I ever get this thing finished.
The Kiwi Konnection has been a quiet achiever for a long time now. They have built a lot of ch***is for some well known builders. Like Bob Bauder when he restored the Doyle Gammel 32 3w for Bruce Meyer. Hot Rods and Hobbies. Tri-C-Engineering. Jimmy Whites Circle City Hot Rods. and many others. They do a first rate job .
That's good to hear, I want to do a 32 frame for my A. Heard they do good work, so I am going to look into them. Thanks.
I never heard a bad thing come out of Kiwi Kinnections. Sqweak does a bang up job. Its hard to find a shop that doesn't at least have something negative floating around out there.
They made a 32 Ford frame custom fit under greasejunkie's 33 Plymouth coupe, very awesome work and a nice car.
First Squeek and now Dwayne and the guys at kiwi are top notch all the way.they were one of the first group of guys i met when i first moved here.great guys, great product. -Jimmy-
Bought one from Squeek about 4 yrs ago, outstanding quality, price was right, built the way I wanted it for my Roadster, everything fit, probably the best Deuce frame you can find out there!! Am going to build another Deuce and the frame will be from Kiwi. Cant say enough about Squeek's Quality. Have recommended him to several of my friends, all were equaly happy.
There are a lot of ch***is in both New Zealand and Australia from the Kiwi Konnection now. They meet our registration requirements. One good thing with them they will make a ch***is to your specific requirements.Try getting that service at some of the big boys!. Rod Bods offer ch***is made by the Kiwi Konnection to go with there steel roadster bodys.
I had a customer order a 32 frame for his 29. He is a first time builder. Both squeek and dwayne were very helpful. He and I were very impressed. THANKS
My buddy Steve got his from KIWI KONNECTION and had it made for a '30 Model A coupe... it's too wide at the front of the rear wheel well opening... so getting it to sit right is a problem... that and the right frame rail isn't square in the rear... but other than that, he's a great guy to work with and a hellova nice guy! Sam.
I had met Squeak at the Roadster's Swap Meet in 2005 and saw his frames so I ordered three frames last year (one for myself and two for friends) from him and they are the best you can buy for the money. One of the few that's still TIG welded (very nice welds) and with great, quality workmanship. Squeak was great to deal with, he even sent a "Thank You" letter after I got them. I would buy another frame from them the next time I need one.
yeah .i got mine from squeek for $1750.00 super nice welds, and real cool guy to talk to.some dude bought kiwi konnection, the last time i called
They have done frames for me in the past - but that was back when Squeak Bell owned the place. Since then he has sold it and his top man Gary has left also. Gary was a great welder there. I only met Dwayne once at the S.D. swap. If things are still the same - they are great for the price/
Great Frames, Great guy. Squeak is a hell of a guy. I have used 5-6 of their frames and never had a complaint. Jimmy White
Just recently. But Duane who's been building his frames for years bought it. So don't go cryin in your pillow. www.kiwikonnection.org
Point is, KIWI KONNECTION is STILL turning out HIGH QUALITY FRAMES, regardless of who actually jigs and welds them. If you have a personal vendetta or an axe to grind, go do it somewhere else. This is splitting hairs and is absolutely absurd. Gary was jigging frames when Squeek owned it, but I don't hear you slagging Squeek off.
