guess there will be some deals for people wanting to get wet and cold and muddy...think I will stay home this year.

  7. Seems I am one of those like-minded folks who does it rain or shine...

Any one care for an un-official HAMB breakfast on the way in?

Plenty of breakfast joints not too far...

Hey how about a Hamb meet and greet at noon somewhere at the swap. I have been wanting to meet up with fellow HAMBers from the area for a while. Maybe the ticket booths between the grass area and the black top?

I'll be there. I've been in ankle-deep mud more than once. I guess one more time won't hurt.

Me and some friends will be there trying to lighten my load of junk. We have two spots right on the edge of one of the barns. They are spots EE 55 and 56 I believe.

  21. It didn't used to be that way when the GNRS was in OAKLAND where it should be... :D

I've been going every year since January 1970... and I was born March of 1970... yea, my mom was pregnant with me, and went with my dad in his '65 ElCamino. :D

HAMBr's, make a HAMB sign at your selling location. Will be a 250 mile one way hike from the central coast. Hope there isn't any snow in the passes!

  23. I'll be there as usual..maybe i'll take some pics so everyone can see what they are missing....

    Hey no55mad...bring me a tri-tip sandwich,Nipomo style from Jocko's...Tell the monkey "Hello":D

Well, I'll see if I can dream up a creative sign. I knida like that idea, but I'm NOT a creative person. In the least I'll be wearing my black Jalopy Journal shirt, which you probably won't see under my rain jacket. I've got a bunch of green 56 Buick 4dr parts I'm bringing down and throwing in a spot a friend has. Would be nice to finally meet some people face to face since I don't get out of the mountains much :D

The I-5 is closed from Castaic to Grapevine - snow and ice. The 14 is the only way but it is so backed up it will take you 4 hours just to get from LA to Bakersfield....... It's a bummer the weather is so bad this year.

Take 101 it's a nice drive and there are a few spots where you can cross over....Paso Robles...101 to North of Salinas @ 152 will bring you to 99 just south of Merced.

If you come up the 101, just past Salinas you can head twords Hollister on the 156, that connects to 152, continue past San Luis Reservoir to Los Banos, then 165 North to Turlock.

That's right I forgot about that as I never travel that route

The weather at this minute (Fri. 12:55 PM) is cloudy, windy and not too cold....The forecast for tomorrow (per Yahoo weather) is for windy and showers.
