I know this is O/T but I figured I'd give it a shot. I am doing some resto work on a 1970 plymouth cuda. I need to know the distance apart the rear leafs should be at the axle pads. Either pin centers or inside to inside once ***embled. Something ain't right in this car and I need to figure it out asap. I know someone on here has one of these cars or knows of a good mopar website. Any help is appreciated. Thanks, Mike.
I don't have the spec but I do remember the springs don't set paralell with the frame. Hope that helps. best of luck.
they taper in from the front...Like a shallow "v" The pins aren't centered in the springs, either. they sit about 1/3 down from the front bushings.
Thanks guys. I really appreciate the help. Guess I gotta cut off the pads. They are 44". They were just done by another shop "to factory specs." Guess they got the specs. from the wrong "factory". I knew they tapered in towards the front and that there was a left and right. Now I just gotta pull it all out and start over.
