Yep, the black is either love it or hate it. I wasn't sure as they were laying it out either, But I love it now. The scallops on the hood and deck tie it all together.

The styling of those Birds is way cool to begin with. Have actually been contemplating a similiar paint scheme on the Olds. Figured the black would contrast the red convertable interior. Need to win the lottery first. Cha-Ching$$.
All in all, a job well done!

I still think you need to paint the steering wheel orange to bring the color inside!

It is already lowered 2" in the rear and 1 coil in the front. I wanted to keep it drivable without going the airbag route. I am doing bags on my Buick.

    Beautiful car. Love the orange!

The trunk kinda reminds me of something that looks like a dressed down batmobile.

Hey, didnt realize you were close to me!!

The paint is fantastic, but I think the wide whites don't go with the overall style. A car that year with that style paint should have skinny whites. Otherwise, it's a graet looking car

:eek:THAT is one of the sweetest T Birds I have seen in a long time! I can only imagine what it looks like in person. The color combo, wheel/tire selection and overall look are extreme. Excellent job.

I have a set of skinny whites and and I didn't like them on the car, but I do understand you reference. I just love wide whites. There was a thread on here earlier this week that addressed just your point and several examples were posted of early 60's customs both ways.

My street has speed bumps, I would have to leave it at home. Plus Oklahoma roads are one of the worst in the country!
