    that is why the rule today is that the car has to cross to the STARTING LINE under its own power.

    If my memory still isn't too screwed up, I believe that the Ongais photo was at Riverside Raceway.
    Now how many of you guys were at Riverside when they ran 1/2 mile drags?
    Those were some crazy events, flat out for a 1/2 mile....holy crap!

    Never saw 1/2 mile,but saw 3&4 wide many times at Green Valley,those could be interesting too.

    Hey, I saw at Fontana Drag City in '65 four jet dragsters at a time....and one of 'em even had 2 J-47s. Man I gotta get a scanner....

    Now back to our regularly scheduled thread!
