Terry, i personally don't care if you stay or leave..I think if you would have posted this right from the beginning instead of acting a bit cocky and telling us you crushed two of them without saying why, some of the guy's on here would have welcome the info, and maybe even purchased truck's if you could produce them to buy...
    Simple as that.
The the grand scheme of thing's, this whole thread has become pointless and drawn out and is now wasting bandwith...me adding to it as well.
If you stay, enjoy the site. Maybe you will be able to add some constructive information for other's to learn. If you leave, take care.

I've got an old, faded blue '54 sitting in my back yard with a 454 in it. The weather is clearing today so I may go out and paint "Old Navy" on the door today and post it on here just to screw with you guys.

By the way, this project needs a home. It ain't free, but it sure is reasonable.

FNG here. My brother-in-law works for Allied up in Va. He has paperwork authorizing them to remove the trucks from the stores. He says that a memo has been sent to the Old Navy stores informing them that someone will be coming to pick them up.

As I live in NC, he told me that if I wanted any of them, he would fax me the paperwork authorizing me as an gent of Allied to pick up the trucks. The rules are that the truck has to be "de-logoed" in the managers presence and you as the remover would be responsible for any damgage incurred to the store. You also would have to set up a time for removal with the store manager which would no doubt be before or after store hours. I sent and looked at two of the trucks, and it appears that you would have to unbolt the fenders to get it out the door and possible have to remove the wheels and put the hubs on dollies to get it out on the street.

Given the condition of the trucks I decided that I didn't want to fool with them, being more interested in one I could make a beater out of. But if somebody wants them, they are free for the taking.

If anyone needs some more info, just let me know.

    Paul

Old Navy's clearing out the trucks. Sorry, you can't buy them direct. Many of them are in decent shape and not chopped up. Although the way the drivetrains were pulled is fairly brutal. The ones I've seen are definitely worth restoring.

There should be quite a few on the market pretty soon.

    they are up for sale

  12. I just met a guy today that is an Atlas agent. He has 6 Old Navy pickups now and is getting all of them that he can. He lives in Paris, TX (east Texas) and he is selling these trucks. He mentioned he was going to ask about $2000 each. The one I saw (came from our local ON store in the mall) is in great condition, just needing motor / trans.
Here is his contact info (hope this doesn`t violate a forum rule).

The seller started the bidding on that auction at $200, and listed it with no reserve. It's the 22 bidders (or the last few) that have the price at $2750 (right now), not the seller...

My mother-in-law is the manager of the Old navy store here in Pikeville. After a drunk skid into the entrance of the local mall no one noticed that the new doors were 1 foot narrower.

You guessed it. Couldn't get it out assembled. It looks like I may get it for the tear down.................:D

Well my Boss here at the local Napa store knew the guy that had to remove one, here in East Tenn. And he got it for free, just remove it. Had to take off the fenders, running boards to get it out. Is in good shape with rechromed bumpers grill, head lite rings. No engine, trans, but with drive line, tourque tube. Not bad at all. jobob

So you joined the HAMB just to try to sell us suckers your six free trucks for $2,500 each. Then in your PM, you tell me what a good deal it is since the one you have on eBay is past that already, THEN you have the nerve to tell me to email you with any questions since you have no plans to visit this site much.
Take your fuckin' trucks to eGay, and don't let the fuckin' door hit you on the way out!

i am aware how ebay works. i just think its interesting that people are getting these trucks for free and people are willing to pay that. the 6 trucks guy emailed me offering them to me, its too hard to deal with non title vehicles in this state and he showed no intrest in trying to obtain a title. for that kind of profit he could at least go and get a title for each one. i thought it would be cool to get on of these trucks but then i came to reality and figured id rather have a rusty old bomb than a truck everyone knows i got fro mthe old navy and id have to explain to everyone how i got it.

I'm a current Old Navy employee, and one thing I can assure you...the trucks are not being sold by individual stores. I do not know of their destination, but I do know that the trucks are being removed from all stores by a contracted party. Because most of the trucks will not fit through the front doors, they are being disassembled partially to allow for easier removal. I don't know of any "displays" that have engines, but outside of the frame, the doors, the windows, and a few things here and there, the trucks are "bare". No tranny, no engine, basically no working "guts" to them. They are propped up on carts and can be moved around with one person very easily. There's actually no bed either, just the frame around it. There's a plywood box that acts as the bed of the truck.

The store received a memo today, warning all the stores of imposters that have went to at least one Old Navy, claiming to be the "removers" of the truck, and successful removed the truck. However, this truck wound up on ebay, for sale, and apparently Gap, Inc. our parent company, found out about it...and subsequently, the auction has been terminated by ebay. I'm not sure if one person purchased the trucks, or where they are destined for, but I highly doubt they will be destroyed, unless there would be a substantial profit in it for the company. If there's one thing I've learned about this company...it's that the "big wigs" won't do anything, unless they can "turn a buck" on the deal.

As far as what the trucks are worth, I couldn't tell you, but if you would intend to purchase one, and restore it...you'd have your hands full trying to build that thing back into something resembling an actual truck.
