Probably won't have it done for HAMB Drags this year, but the 427 is at the shop. Richmond 5 speed is in the garage.

I've seen that show and IMO its a pretty gay show. I mean anything with drag racing in it is cool, especially when its more down to earth cars. But hey, any press is good press and especially 2 wheels on nat'l TV is pretty bad ass.

I have always digged your 55 Shakey ,cuz it walks the walk and it doesnt look like it has a bunch of modern bracket car bullshit on it.It rocks that you run that fast with a straight axle .Yours and SamIam's 55 are my favorites...

They are filming at firebird raceway right now. I just gota invite to go out there but am too beat after working at Barrett-Jackson today.

cool man i got to see the pilot get filmed at great lakes last year. good premise for a show but it gets kinda boring,and your 55 is one of the reasons i keep coming here just pure inspiration

Yeah, the PINKS All Out deal last year sucked for me. It was no big deal not making the final 16, but I got literally less than one second of air time on a one hour show. I guess whoever was producing that show didn't think a hard running 9 second 55 Chevy was cool.

Anyone who has run at Firebird knows how serious they are at TECH. Well the old guy who tech'd my car looked long and hard. He did pick out a couple small things I needed to fix. Kind of a grumpy old guy. Well my buddy said when he saw the car run he turned to him and said "cars like that are what made me love drag racing"

 

It's supposed to be one "expert" and 2 other contestants. The show is kind of lame, but like others said, anything with drag racing is better than most shows on TV.

I think they could have done a better job at selecting cars. On the day I was there it was a lot of bracket cars and slow door cars.

Not yet. It's a Quick Time movie and I'm not in that one. I'm hoping I'll get in the promo commercial on TV. Unless the Producer was just BS'ing me.


Anyway, I just got lucky and was in the right place at the right time. Just like most of you, I want to promote what I love. In my case it's nostalgic racing and gasser style cars. Hopefully this will inspire some people who watch the show to build something and go racing.

Wish I knew. They said February, but the website says July. I emailed the producer of the show but haven't received a response yet.

Nads, I shook your hand at one of the Rumblers shows back in 2005. Didn't have any cars with me that day. I headed out to the desert a few months later...
