Hey, I dig the shit out of it. If I had the cash, I'd kustomized the hell out of those 50's Mercedes with the fins... those would look killer.
Hey I like that grill! ...minus the emblem and horn. I actually bought a grill like it on Ebay for $10! Not sure what year it is?? but it is in great condition. I was thinking I could shave the cap and maybe use it with a 46 chev cab I have. Right now its just wall art though. Probably will be too for the next couple years...
Great rig! At least it's not a French or English crap mobile. It would be really cool w/ a 6.3 ltr MB V8. The Germans sure have made great cars over the years.
I've got a '53 MB 300B (Adenauer) sedan I've thought about doing something insane with. Now I'm thinking again...
yeah i know where theres an early fifties mercedes at just sitting, the floor in it is shot though. It would definately be somethign interesting to take to cruise nights.
What year is that sedan. Might just have to keep my eyes out for one..or a coupe if they exist. the body lines are pretty smoooth... totally bitchen looking...almost just as nice as American iron...
That car would have been a perfeckt candidate for those flush mount oval MERCEDES headlights people have been (poorly) sticking in everything under the sun for the past bunch of years. With those lights frenched in like that it reminds me of a 30's Pierce Arrow, (and that's not a complement) But it's the customizer GAUL that he had to do it in the first place that I like.
Haha, funny post....as I just got back late last night. Germany rules!!! Check out this ugly thing.... Saw some real good stuff too... Nads, your sick! No more Nazi in Germany... I'm ready to go back...
It is a 220S, somewhere around a 1952 (I think that one is titled as a 48 to go to NSRA stuff). I have two of them that I bought cheap.
I don't like the first one at all. This wheels look like something they put on a 70's oldsmoblie. The second one Ed posted is cool as hell! I love the stance and the way the front fender ride so high to the bonnet. (hood)
Ditch the wheels, otherwise I love it. Good friend of mine has one with a tripower sbc in it. I alwyas thought it was a late 30's model till he informed me that they used the same body style through the early 50's!!
