Nicest rat rod Ive ever seen!!!

Wish some of you could have been at the Verdugo Hills car meet Sat morning off the 210. I pulled in with my coupe...and like flies to horse shit they came running....I guess thats what i get for bringing a new car to a show that rarely sees a new person come along. Then here comes the dumb ass questions....some I dont mind...some are just rediculous!!!! Questions like whered you have it built...what is the motor...blah blah blah....
Then this frumphy little fuck walk up with his hand out...being polite I shake his hand. He then blurts out wow...this is one of the nicest rat rods Ive ever seen!!!! You should sell this at Barrett Jackson. You really hit the ball outta the park with this one. He litterally said rat rod 15 times.....Its okay I saw him leave in his bad ass 93 camery... Does this really look like a RAT ROD??

Its okay...later that day Mazooma came over and did the shots for Rolls and Pleats...that made up for it definately. That and getting to drive the car arround the rest of the day.

Most people don't know that "we" consider that a degrading term. I usually respond with something like, "really, what part looks ratty?"
If it's someone who knows jack about cars, but just wants to pay me a compliment, then it is not a big deal to me. When someone who should know better, or I have educated in the past says it, my responces get alot more rude. It is a sliding scale.

I feel your anger. The term "RatRod" is like a kick in the balls, when indeed a traditional "Hot Rod" is what you have slaved and spent a shit load on..

Tell me you at least explained the difference between a rat rod and your car to this kid. It sounds like he has intrest, maybe he should be schooled. I have several young guys that hang around, wanna-be's, a couple even sold their rice burners and bought old cars. I have slap them once in a while but they are learning and coming around, someday they might carry the tradional torch when us old guys are gone. Of course some are just idiots, don't take long to know it's a waste of time, they won't ever be hot rodders.
