Would this be Mission Raceway's,legendary traction?LOL First track to break a Chrisman T/F rearend (although it was a T/A car,Rydin Decal),the one with a one piece, full width axle,that's about 3" in dia.!

 

Here's some more Canadian racer's.The late Bill"Mad Man"Phillips, a very ingenious racer,whose ideas live on. Don't doubt,the idea of a rotary valve Hemi,has not gone unnoticed!

 

You guessed correctly,the altered wheel base moved the centre of gravity rearward,which aided traction.

 

If you look in the background of this shot,at the track ambulance(International). Now,a fellow HAMBer,owns that panel(now painted brown).
