Lets see your trucks!

  1. As far as I can tell, fat cab fenderless trucks weren't the thing back in the day, but it has still been fun learning on it. I have some nice vintage pieces I'm putting together for the next ride.

The Willys has been around in my "family" since the mid 50's. Got a chevy & hydro in '59. Updated a few years ago with a Camero ft/rear +400 % turbo 350. Just an old shop truck. The '23 star was a resto project. In a museum in Germany now.

i was looking for a mid 30s ford but kept looking at this truck. got it just over a year ago and put about 10k on it after brakes and head gasket. next up is a 348 i pulled out of a 59 a viking 60 firetruck with less than 19,000 miles on it. the viking is for sale, woule be great for a custom hauler or flat bed. email for pics if interested. i will post pics of the motor when it goes in.

OneRustedDodge, You asked about the front suspension on my '38 Dodge. It is a Ford F-1, or F100 (can't remember which, a swap meet item), on '49 Chev Truck front springs. I used 4 leaves. The spring perches are moved so the axle sits on top of the springs. The frame from the firewall forward is Model A Ford. It is Z'd and boxed. It is also notched for axle and tie rod clearance. I hope this information helps.
