And yes, in case you were wondering, there IS a Zippo Lighter Car! I'm thinking it would go well in a Cheech & Chong movie!

Oh, I have no idea. The thing just looks like a glorified PT Cruiser to me.

    that silverbrown 40 ford....
so the guy says to his friend, "lets put a modern winshield in my sedan, maybe a caprice, or mustang!"
his friend replies "yeah! and we can angle chop it too!"
I am glad I don't have friends like that.
maybe when the novelty wears off, they can find an old rusty sedan in a river somewhere, and weld a proper top back on it.

  21. That is superb. It's also a reproduction of the original which was lost and probably destroyed many years ago. It was built for Zippo for promotional use. Very successful at the time but very heavy and notorious for ruining tires. Finally the frame began to sag and it was sent back to the original builder where it languished . Things changed at Zippo, the car was forgotten and then disposed of. Very likely scrapped. Someone decided that it was too good a thing to die and working with Zippo and their archives they recreated it.

    Rock On!

  22. That guy who blew his head off with a shot gun was WAY more talented. Curt Cobane?

And the really sad part is, some doofus put a LOT of work into building that horrible mutant! I can't figure out what they thought they'd end up with, but I'm guessing it was cool in their head??
(I saw it in person right where you took your pictures. Shook my head sadly the whole time but never thought to preserve it with a photo!)

Isn't that a Jaguar Mark II? If so, the doors alone are worth a boatload of money.

This one looks like the stingray that took The Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin (RIP) by surprise.
