maybe when the novelty wears off, they can find an old rusty sedan in a river somewhere, and weld a proper top back on it.

 

That is superb. It's also a reproduction of the original which was lost and probably destroyed many years ago. It was built for Zippo for promotional use. Very successful at the time but very heavy and notorious for ruining tires. Finally the frame began to sag and it was sent back to the original builder where it languished . Things changed at Zippo, the car was forgotten and then disposed of. Very likely scrapped. Someone decided that it was too good a thing to die and working with Zippo and their archives they recreated it.
