I prefer 1967 style pscyhedelic music, but I listen to http://www.wncw.org/ , has a good mix of bluegrass, real country, blues , rockabilly, 60's pscyhedelic , new artist, and mostly stuff you never heard before. You can go from Johnny Cash to Hendrix to Hank Williams in a row. Best thing, no effin commercials. They will play anything you want to hear, because there are people there. They have in studio concerts all the time live, heard Big Sandy and the Flyright Boys on it, Allison Krause , you name it. Never a dull moment, until they get PC and play some mexican stuff or some gospel, but not often. They try to please everybody.I call up and say I want to hear Syd Barretts Pink Floyd, "Arnold Layne", they play it!:D

In February all I hear in the shop is the Salamander running. Dam its been cold. When the kerosense smell gets too bad I shut off, then I can hear the radio going.

Scored a used sound system from a friends club downtown, so we occasionally crank it up to compete with the bar next door. Ya, having a bar next to the shop can be a bad thing! Tunes of choice lately have been The Doors, Dick Dale, Cash, Pantera, Black Label Society, Beastie Boys, blah blah blah...

I've got a record player setup and I listen to old bluegrass records. The only pain is having to go flip the records. Maybe I should get one of those stack-o-matics? I saw a record palyer that you can plug into your computer and record your records onto your computer. Of course then I'lll have to put a computer in the garage.

On clear nights I can sometimes pickup 650AM WSM out of nashville. They play classic country and on sunday nights they have "into the blue" from 9PM to Midnight. I tell you what, there's nothing better than tinkering in the garage on a warm summer night and listening to classic bluegrass!
