Clear Gasser Hood Scoop?

  1. Anyone still make those cool old clear plexiglass hood scoops? Some guy on ebay was but now I cant find him. Anyone? Thanks,

    I dunno if anyone still makes them, but if you had a buck, you could have them vacuum formed. Myself, along with a few other HAMBers, have access to vacuum formers that should be big enough.

    I have that guys contact info from e-bay somewhere..I'll try to find it for you. I know he was going to pop them in different colors..

    I made a nice looking clear plexiglass hood scoop from the bulb cover on an old flourescent tube street light.it was a 4 foot long light that had a v shaped reflector with 4 light tubes on either side of the V.There was a clear molded cover over the bulbs enclosing the entire light.my cover came from a place that had a contract to repair the lights.my cover was broken on one end from a rock being thrown at it the finished scoop was 16 inches wide 6 or 8 inches tall at the front tapering to about 1/2 this height at the rear with a rounded back

    There is one for salein the parts section.He must make them if you need a differant couler{sp} I know.

    I was gonna say back in the late 50's early 60's there was a 55 chevy gasser that had a clear scoop that looked cool as hell....but someone beat me to it with pics of one!! LOL...those are cool

    When I was a kid I remember a Hemi GTX with a plexiglass Hood w/ scoop. that was badass I think it had a straight axle as well But, not 100% positive it was the same car. mid 70's:)

    the clear plastic hood scoops i'm looking for is 12"high at least. saw a few in the late 60s , early 70s. both had tunnel ram up through the hood. could see both carbs. one car was a 62 vett the other was pont. gto. saw many more but thows 2 were impessive.all were seen on l.i. n.y thanks zak

    I am looking for one as well. I have a red one just like the one in the pic, but I want one that is more rounded like on the "BadMan" 55 Chevy model.
