Can someone post pics and videos from the show for all us unlucky folk who can't attend??

I'd love to hear this thing run.

Heck, I'd even commit to a year of 60 hour work weeks (overtime) so I could afford one.

I have a number of rebuilt and ready for rebuilding blocks here and my thought was that I was expecting to spend 8 to 10 K for a strong Flathead for under neath the blower.

That 8 to 10k would be supplied in lumps as the engine gets 'built' over the next year at the local machinists.

    ??
For 10 to 14 K a person could get a Significantly lighter and stronger block for the roadster.

I could end up with a 2000lb car running a cast block or cut the total weight by 10 to 15% (more?) with an aluminum block which will translate to a much quicker et in the quarter.

It's something to think about especially when a person is considering 8 or 10 k for a rebuilt Flathead worthy of a blower.

    Is it traditional? - NO
Is it banned by the SCTA? - YES

Now who would want one just for few extra HP bragging rights ????

You're kidding right? I thought more horsepower was what this game was about.

I think the statement about the SCTA banning this engine is a bit mis- leading don't you. You can most certainly bolt this engine in your hot rod and go land speed racing. I think what you mean is it's not eligible for the "XF" classes. So what!? Are'nt records and trophys just for bragging rights as well? Curious as it is though there are many aftermarket blocked and headed Chevrolets out there but they're OK, correct? Why the double standards?

Oh yeah one last thing, HP numbers really are for bragging. Torque is what moves you. Torque is what Flatmotors generously provide, and this 339 incher will be no exception.

Man, I'm diggin' those exhaust flanges. Sure sounded nice!

Kinda funny that in one shot, all you see behind it is the ATM sign.
Certainly gonna take some dough to step up to that!

H.R.L.C.-Thanks for posting the picts. & vid.

It's not traditional, but it's still cool.

It's like 'glass body - except it's better than the original.

Like a repop AL body, which would be killer :)
