This Rod Project Raised A Few Eyebrows

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Bill Morgan, Feb 11, 2008.

  1. ....when I pulled my trailer through the city loaded with this - a Ford Model T frame with a casket mounted on it.

A younger acquaintance got a wild notion to build something similar to Dragula, Grandpa Munster's car, then abandoned the project after realizing how flimsy T frames are.

The casket was in a warehouse that flooded, causing the bottom to rust out, rendering it unsuitable for its intended purpose. The repair would present no challenge for a good body man, if'n he ain't superstitious.

I had to put it in the storage yard, after the wife threatened dire consequences if the casket appeared at the house. I think I'll just slide it into my '63 Bonneville ambulance/hearse as an added attraction.

Turn the casket into a trailer... ice chest in one end, luggage in the other. Should be a fun one to tote along.

    Now that's funny!
Sad but probably true. If someone said it started as a 1930 Ford roadster and after 1,000 body modifications this is what it looks like now the judges would have to give you enough points to win.
Say that some rich recluse commissioned it and $2million was spent on modifications and the judges will have to give it the title. But, can't forget some display too. Hmm.....Like maybe a roulette wheel.

somebody had a vision to build a cool car, and thought long and hard , spent tons of time and money ,and never had any idea that only small kids would find it remotly cool.. but hell it got him out of the house & into the garage so it cant be all that bad
