I raced with drew fornoro and his son nokie. couple class act drivers. nokie's pretty damn good in a supermodified too.

unfortunately, gene's wife just passed away recently. her and gene were the backbone of northeast midget racing for a long time.[/QUOTE]

Actually Drew and Nokie are brothers, their dad was Nick Fornoro. All three of em were/are great drivers.

    Josh,
I actually like Sammy better than his kid. For the last couple of summers they (and Amy) have hung out here in Brownsburg a lot. I am in John Godfrey's (Spike/Stealth) building and he and Sammy are long time friends. We made some stuff for Kevin's pavement car and both he and Sammy hung out in our shop on a couple of occasions.
Sammy does not say much but when he does start to talk it is definitely a good idea to listen.

I forgot to mention I have all the drawings, blueprints, and cardboard patterns that were used when this car was built. The rear radius rods basically did away with all the rear roll stear in the car, they worked fine but were a bitch when you bent them from hitting the wall and stuff, made it hard to repair fast at the racetrack and get everything right.

Obviously it worked good on dirt, but it seems to me that it would be a great setup for asphalt, ever run it on tar?

Youngblood, neat pics, reminds me of the old crates we ran back in the 60s about 1500 mi. east of Ohio.

Good to hear that. I'm sure he is a wealth of information. And has the win record to proove it. He just rubs me the wrong way.

But.. I will say, His TMC rides were the best looking sprint cars of the last twenty years.. Close second might be Doty's COORS BEER car in 86'

Now some Generation drivers we have already mentioned here.

Back then they were known as Dirty Don and Filthy Rich, I came to love Rich like a brother, and he treated me like one, Don was never the gruff old man he was made out to be around me either, just a hard worker who came from poverty most of us couldn't even begin to understand, I miss em both July 21 1990 may be the saddest day of my life, I know it was the only day I ever thought about quitting
