That's in Ardmore, OK. I think that track may be closing.

  7. Last I heard was to get pre-registered and it'll be first come first serve (to race!). Check with Ryan to be sure.

  8. Damn it was hot year one! There are other events to fill your time. There has been a cruise/poker run on Saturday for folks to partake in.

  9. Hasn't it been the last two years didn't get to the night racing? First the power went out and the next it threatened rain?
I've only been to the last two and I've still yet to see some night drags. Lookin forward to it this year. Gonna have my cameras/video ready!!!

  10. You're pig thought it was hotter year two. ;-)

  11. I must add you were the guy slaving over the grill in that 100+ temp year one. That was good pig! Would heat stroke account for any of your behavior?

  12. Yeah, that was one hot day! I think it was 115 on that smoker rig. Good thing Zor and the others were there to help me serve, i was shelled by the time I was done. Ryan set me up with a room and a cool shower after that one. Thanks boss, Zor and I needed that! Crazy memories, there was only like 50 of us at the Holiday Inn it seemed................

  13. I camped at the track that first year. There were a bunch of us out there. I was kinda shy that year but I've gotten over it.

  14. yeah we camped the first night and sat slept in a real bed.

  15. Yeah, you were over there with the bike guys who did a little test and tune in the wee hours. What were you guys were drinking anyway?

  16. thats right! You DID look a little shy/scared:D Lots of beer and some honest to goodness moonshine. But I had nothing to do with that, it was ElPolacko and those Az guys;)

I don't know what the delay is in anouncing the registration. It was stated "in spring" were in it now.

I know the secret to why most tracks don't start racing until noon.

    HEAT.

You have to have some heat in the track, or it's greasy. (not actually greasy, but slick. the chemicals in the skin don't get good and tacky until they are around 85 to 90 degrees.)

so yeah. You gotta get some heat into it.

  22. I'd be up for earlier start times to, test and tune/grudge runs/whatever..then take break when it's too hot and fire it all up in the evening...

The one sure thing happening in Missouri this year is RAIN....I don't wanna do all this, planning, travel, fuel, and money to get washed out...that'd suck in epic portions!

I just wish we could start about a month or 2 earlier........

  24. Shhh...that's the four letter word we shouldn't say!! Get it over and done with before-hand and all will be well for the Drags! :D
